Tech startups coming to Slush 2025: what to expect
Are you a startup? Get in touch!

It's already August. Only three months to Slush. I can say I am excited for the next three and a half months ahead.
It means this is time to keep myself busy getting to know some of the best tech startups in the world, some of which will become the next big thing in the coming years due to their innovation and community building. It’s time for Slush.

Slush is a major startup and tech event held annually in Helsinki, Finland every November.
The event, one of its kind, will gather international startups, investors, and tech media, with a focus on connecting startups with international VCs and tech media/independent tech journalists.
Slush 2025 will feature the Slush 100 startup competition, among other activities, and is known for building a global startup community. Tech talent also gathers at Slush for the chance to be added by their dream startup as a new member of the team.
Although the official dates are 19-20 November for the main event, there are hundreds of side events organised across the city during the whole week of Slush. These events attract founders, investors, and tech media from around the world.
Some areas of focus include AI, robotics, deep tech, green tech, and other emerging technologies. The Slush 100 competition is a highly competitive startup competition where the top 100 startups, selected from a large applicant pool, compete for a one million euros in investment.

What can startups expect
Slush will feature various sessions, roundtables, pitching opportunities, and networking spaces during the whole week alongside the main conference and the Startup 100 competition. slush aims to foster a global startup community, connecting founders with investors, media, and other key players in the tech ecosystem.

Slush, the experience
I have personally attended Slush for the last 17 years since the very beginning of Slush, when Slush was an event for just a few hundred people. Year after year, I meet with founders and investors, we talk about the latest innovations, what’s new and what’s upcoming. We talk about the future of technology, the world, and beyond. After years of witnessing the Startup 100 competition my eye for spotting winners has become rather sharp.
Slush is a unique event in the tech conference calendar thanks to the experience it offers. When you enter Slush you enter a different dimension, you step into the future, you meet some of the greatest minds and innovators who will shape the future of the planet … and beyond. VCs are open, communicative, and share their vast knowledge on the technologies they invest in.
If they put their money on certain startups they surely will attract my attention as well. In some cases, I bring them some of my startup discoveries to their radar so they can evaluate their worth and potentially invest in them. Slush is a great place to meet people and network for everyone interested in and working on the technologies of the future.
If you are a startup either coming to Slush, get in touch. Be a part of Startup Futurum.
