Zuckerberg Outlines New AI Initiatives at Meta, in Line with Tech Trends
CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Facebook-owned Meta (FB.O) is working on a new category of generative AI models that would let humans describe the world and generate aspects of it. Feb 23 (Reuters) - Facebook-owner Meta (FB.O) is working on AI research that generates worlds via speech, improving the way people talk to voice assistants and translating between languages, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Wednesday, as he outlined the main steps toward building the MetaverseMetas going to build a new top-level Product Group focused on Generative AI -- AI that can generate content -- focused on building a delightful experience around that technology across all our different products, Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg said on Facebooks post on Monday. By unifying many teams working on generative AI throughout the Metas platforms, Mark Zuckerberg said, a new team will form. By creating the new team, Meta Platforms is looking to ramp up its efforts on generative AI, according to Facebooks announcement. Mark Zuckerberg announced that Meta Platforms is going to be building out a new team, the work of which is expected to deliver features powered by generative AI.
