Through the window
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room in her mind. What she saw was nothing short of a miracle. In the summers, she watch the Blue Jays flutter their wings, while they sing their songs, she gays adoringly at the beams of light, pushing through the clouds, like outstretched fingers, coming straight down from the heavens, landing that warm embrace on her cheek. She’d watch as the leaves turn from a dark lush green to the most vibrant shades of red and orange imaginable. Clinging onto the trees, who gave them life, until the wins, finally won their battle, and ripped them from the branches. Causing a sea of orange and red to dance to a song, all the wrong against a lifeless gray sky. It seem to her as soon as their dance was done a new song was played, causing the heavens above to open and unleashed for the furious wrath, a blinding, swirling storm of white. that sent chills straight to the core of those walking past who felt its touch up on their skin. She watch their faces contort and discomfort from the snow is cold and brace. Yet in her mind, the snow held a special importance. For like her, and everyone she saw that passed each flake that fell was all the tone, no peace exactly like it’s still part of a collective hole, a family. In the beautiful, delicate flakes, she saw her self, and she saw him. She understood that alone the flakes didn’t amount to much they were as a whisper, floating on the breeze only here for a fleeting moment, then vanished never to be seen again, and only to be enjoyed by the lucky few stopped To see their beauty. But together they compound, and their presence can’t be denied with him she felt seen, she felt limitless. For when he looked at her, he saw her as a microscope sees the snowflake. A beautiful masterpiece. He didn’t see the scars, both physical and emotional. He didn’t see the limitations. He saw the promise of possibilities he saw the intricacies that everyone else overlooked. She didn’t see the chains that she was contained to, and for this, she saw him. Not as just a man, but as the divine essence of love. To some, it may not be a big deal, but even a blind man could see this essence of divine selfless, love was in short supply in the swirled outside of his window. The outside world may be unknown to her through his window. She saw the true world. The world we were all meant to be in. A world ran on love. So she asks herself on which side of his window is the real world. On the outside, looking in or the inside looking out. The answer to this question is for all of us to find. What side of the window do we want to be on. Through the window in his room, she found the true meaning of this life, even though to most, who are looking in from the outside see her, and believe the outside world is unknown to her. Even from the confines of his room she has seen and opened herself to more in the most traveled of travelers. So we must ask ourselves. Do we let the limitations of our physical reality control our internal and external experience or do we follow her and his lead and find the beauty and all experiences, for when we lead with love, we too, will be seen as the snowflake under the microscope.
