SoundPEATS Air5 Pro – Real Use, Real Impressions
These earbuds weren’t on my radar at first… but now I’m using them every day.

I’ve been using the SoundPEATS Air5 Pro for the past week, and I have to say, they’ve done more than just meet expectations. These weren’t on my radar originally, but after spending day after day with them in my ears, they’ve earned a spot in my everyday carry.
This isn’t some spec breakdown or marketing fluff — I just want to talk about how they’ve actually held up in daily use. Calls, music, videos, walking through the city, sitting at my desk — real situations.
I want to thank SoundPEATS for sending this set out for a full review. I’ve already written up a full breakdown for those who want all the finer details like codecs, ANC depth, mic performance and more.
First Few Days
Right out of the box, they felt familiar. The build reminds me a bit of the Air4 Pro, but more compact and with a better feel in the hand. They’re stem-style earbuds, but they don’t stick out or feel awkward. I put them in and didn’t touch them again. No slipping. No weird angles. Just a secure, proper fit.
I didn’t need to swap tips either. The medium tips sealed well, and the passive isolation was decent even before turning ANC on.
Sound and Daily Listening
This is where it all comes together. The Air5 Pro has a warm, slightly V-shaped sound. Bass has presence without being overdone. Mids are clean, vocals are centered and natural. Treble is relaxed but still detailed enough to keep things clear.
I didn’t reach for the EQ right away — and that’s always a good sign. After a few days I did some light tweaking in the app, just to bring up the upper mids a touch, but out of the box, the tuning was already solid.
LDAC and aptX Lossless both worked without issue, and I could hear the difference when switching between codecs. Nothing was overly sharp or harsh, but it still had clarity and depth.
ANC, Calls, and App
ANC is strong on this set. Not class-leading, but better than most at this price. It cut out background hum on a busy street, and it handled HVAC noise in my office without any problem. Transparency mode was usable, though not as natural sounding as some higher-end sets.
Calls were surprisingly clear. Nobody on the other end had any complaints, even when I was outdoors or walking near traffic. The six-mic setup seems to be doing its job.
The app is simple. It works. It lets you update firmware, switch ANC modes, and use the custom EQ. Nothing fancy, but nothing broken either.
Battery Life
I didn’t track hours exactly, but I was able to go three days without charging the case. That included 2–3 hour sessions each day. I’d say it matches what SoundPEATS claims. Quick charge was helpful more than once — 10 minutes for a couple hours of playback is legit.
Final Thoughts
Sometimes you test a product and it just slides right into your daily life without you realizing it. That’s what happened here.
No weird issues. No frustrating bugs. Just a clean, reliable, good-sounding set of earbuds that supports all the modern codecs, holds a stable connection, and gets out of the way when you need it to.
I’ll keep using these. They don’t try too hard. They just work — and sometimes that’s exactly what you want.
