They have become an unavoidable part of our modern-day lives. We use these for communication, searching for information, entertainment, getting knowledge, making videos and pictures, and even setting up an alarm.

These devices are involved in our lives from smaller to very bigger levels and we cannot imagine our lives without them. That is why, when our phone stops working, the first thing we get worried about is how we will manage without our phone for a couple of days when it will be at a repair shop.

We are so much dependent on mobile and smartphones for performing all our tasks, but these devices are machines that are prone to damage, bugs, crashes, and errors. Even the most efficient iphones get errors as well. However, if you have knowledge about these devices you will be able to identify the root cause of any errors and you will be able to get your device repaired on time.

Common Reasons for Phone Repair

We have made a list for you of some common reasons why your phone will need repair. These reasons are described below.

1- Broken Phone Screen

Most mobile phone users all around the world have faced broken screen issues at least once in their lives. Some of the common causes are:

  • Accidental fall of your phone.
  • Sitting down while your phone is in your back pocket.
  • Dropping down your phone accidentally at a crowded place.
  • Having metal keys and your phone in the same pocket.

It is obvious that you panic when you see a broken phone screen but it will not help you at all. You have to think about possible solutions and act accordingly instead of wasting time. The good news is that most mobile companies offer screen protection under a warranty period. Therefore, the first action you have to take is to check if your mobile phone company gives you a warranty on a broken phone screen or not.

2- Issue of the Charging Port

Whenever you experience issues while charging for example slow charging or no charging at all, then it is obvious there is some issue with the charging port of your phone. There could be any of the following causes of a faulty charging port.

  • Dust or debris inside the charging port interrupting the power supply.
  • Corrosion at the charging point caused due to moist environment.
  • Hardware damage due to dropping the phone.

This issue can also be resolved if it is not related to hardware. You can easily clean the debris with the help of a needle. If the problem still exists then you should visit the service center for professional mobile phone repair.

3- Damage due to Water

If your phone accidentally falls into a cup of tea or coffee, in a swimming pool, or in a bathing tub, then there is a clear chance of damage to your phone. Water damage is most of the time severe and irreversible. Most phones except the latest iphones are not waterproof. However, you can try one of the following tips if your phone accidentally falls into water or any liquid.

  • Take out your phone from the liquid and turn it off.
  • Disintegrate all components of your phone like battery, SIM card, SD card, etc.
  • Use a soft cotton cloth to clean all water from inside and outside.
  • Try the rice trick to dry out all the moisture from the phone.

Water damage is mostly very damaging in the case of smartphones. That is why; it is recommended that you should try to avoid it at all costs. You can buy waterproof covers to protect your mobile phones.

4- Phone Speaker is not Working

The Speaker of a phone could malfunction due to many reasons. First, check if your phone is in headphone mode or not. You can simply restart your phone to get it back to the previous/ normal settings.

Check if the settings of your phone speaker are correct or not. Check the volume settings. Sometimes the issue is not that big and small practices can also solve the issue.

If the above methods do not work then you can try ‘restore factory settings mode’. Remember to take a backup of your data before restoring the phone to factory settings.

5- Overheating of the Phone

Every phone generates heat through three components that are CPU, battery, and screen. A little heating of the phone due to prolonged use is normal. However, if the mobile heats up frequently and a lot then there could be a software issue, excess pressure on any of the three heat-producing components, or some hardware issue.

Conclusion

The iPhone and iPad repair process requires special attention, skill, time, and expertise in order to achieve the expected results. However, not all problems need to be repaired by a professional. Many of the small issues can also be solved by using DIY tips and tricks but you have to first identify the issue properly and then decide about the repairing solutions.
