If I delete my TikTok account, will my comments still be visible to others?
TikTok is a popular and fast-growing social media application where users can record and share their content like photos, short video clips, and many more to make them popular and earn money. TikTok, like Instagram and Twitter, includes a social media component where users are allowed to follow each other and like the content.
But, if you want to take a break from the music video app TikTok and remove it from your mobile, the procedures to do so are outlined below. Needless to say, that setting up a Tiktok account is a simple task while removing it is a little more difficult.
Before you begin the deactivation procedure, keep in mind that removing your account is a permanent procedure and cannot be restored. TikTok's website says clearly that "a deleted account cannot be restored."
If you decide to delete the app, finally, open it on your smartphone and navigate to the "Profile" page. Then the rest procedures are mentioned in the below article to delete your account on TikTok using an Android, iPhone, or iPad.
If you remove your account, it will be marked as "deactivated" for 30 days if you make up your mind. If you do not sign back within that time frame, TikTok will permanently delete all of your account data and content.
So, let's check out the following steps to delete Tiktok from your Mobile safely:
- Open the Application on your mobile screen.
- Click on the Profile icon that appears at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- If you haven't previously logged in, you will be requested to do so immediately.
- Once you completed login, click on the three-dot menu (•••), which appears at the top-right corner of the screen.
- Next hit the Manage My Account button shown at the top of the menu
- Scroll down the page and select Delete Account. It's located near the bottom of the Manage My Account settings.
- This will bring a confirmation page with information on canceling your account.
- Hit the red ‘Delete Account’ button that appears at the bottom of the screen. A confirmation pop-up window will display.
- To confirm, press the Delete button. You will be immediately signed out of TikTok.
You may reactivate your account by logging in before the 30-day period expires if you change your mind.
But now the point comes: will the videos and comments still be visible to others if you delete the app?
However, we have mentioned above that your videos will no longer be available to others on the app now that your account has been deleted. Because once you delete the app, it won't retrieve your data related to that account.
You won't be able to sign in with that username again once you've terminated the account. Also, you won't have access to the videos you've submitted and the items you've bought. There will be no refunds for any products purchased. Also read: TikTok Account Suspended: How to Regain Your Suspended TikTok Account
Other users on TikTok who look for your profile will see your account as "Deactivated. “Your account, including any videos and information, will be removed after 30 days.
But in the case of chat messages and comments, they do not delete completely, but when you click on that comments or messages, they will lead to you on an empty page.
So, the comments will appear to the users, but not exactly; you can access them like previously you used to do. Because once you delete your account from the app, your data will be completely removed from the application. Also read: “You’re tapping too fast Take a break” How To Solve This Problem On TikTok
