Genere8 - the future of searching?

What you probably know by now is that the big tech companies - Google, Facebook etc, - collect our data and harvest it like a crop, using our every search, like and message to create a detail profile of us and all of our most intimate thoughts and ideas. Well, there's a solution. Gener8 is a new search engine which gives back to its users for searching with it. They have two modes. The first is privacy mode which protects your data from advertisers. They don't collect and sell it like Google does. They keep your data private, not only making you sell susceptible to advertising but keeping you safer from cyber crime too. I chose privacy mode and have currently been protected from two hundred and twenty five thousand trackers in the few months that I've been using it.

The other mode is rewards mode, which does sell your data to advertisers but gives you points in return. You get rewarded for every search, even for opening a new tab. You can save up these points and then exchange them on the Gener8 marketplace for gifts such as Amazon vouchers, free product trials or even charitable donations.
