Story:
Doctors inform Chakravarthy (Sachin Khedekar), the owner of a corporate empire, that he has a terminal illness and only has two months to live. As a result, he makes the decision to appoint a new CEO and give his team some stock. His son Anand (played by Ravi Teja), who would eventually take over as CEO, is anticipated to do so.
Swamy (Ravi Teja), who resembles Anand and lives in the same city with his middle-class parents, struggles to find employment.
Swamy starts to feel attracted to Pranavi (Sreeleela). Pranavi's father (Rao Ramesh) shows up with a potential suitor while she considers his proposition. None other than Anand is he. She is confused. Around the same time, Chakravarthy's business is the target of a nasty businessman named JP (Jayaram), who is on a rampage of coercive acquisitions.
Will Chakravarthy's son Anand fight JP alone or will he seek help from Swamy, his double?
The movie follows the story of Akshay Kumar as Rohan, a news anchor in a leading television news channel. He is determined to get the scoop on a major terrorist attack that has been planned in the city. With the help of his team, he goes on a mission to uncover the truth and stop the terrorists.
The movie is filled with action sequences and high-octane drama. Akshay Kumar’s performance is outstanding and he is ably supported by a strong cast that includes Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia, and Kay Kay Menon. The direction by Ram Madhvani is spot on and the cinematography is breathtaking.
Mass and Ravi Teja go hand in hand. Therefore, he picked a movie that won't succeed. It is utterly outdated. It is a routinely produced 90s movie by Trinadha Rao Nakkina. Dhamaka is a Dhamaal because of the weak storyline, the predictable scenes, the stereotypical characters, and the terrible humour.
One can speculate that a sizable pay check was the reason Ravi Teja signed Dhamaka. Without any fireworks, the movie ends on a familiar tone. The movie actually makes us think of Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, in which Ravi Teja portrays the twin roles of Raju and Bantu. The mass masala movie consequently fails miserably on several fronts.
Like every commercial hero, Ravi Teja brutally beats the thugs. His enthusiasm keeps us glued to the screen the entire time.
Overall, Dhamaka is a thrilling and edge-of-the-seat entertainer that will keep you glued to your seat. Akshay Kumar’s performance is top-notch and the action sequences are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. So, don’t miss out on this action-packed movie - catch it at the theatres now!
