Social media influencers are becoming more and more popular, I often wonder if they're lose theu're livelihoods, as AI becomes more popular. Either way, there is a growing trend of people posting content, some have decided that they'd prefer to make people laugh, at other people!
I've never been a big fan of this, I follow a comedian by the name of Nate Jackson, his brand of comedy is not normally what I would like to watch. I much prefer people like Ali Siddiq, who can tell the most interesting stories about his life journey, without using bully members of the audiance.
Nate Jackson is very quick witted, he seems to have a lot of knowledge of the world, he does have rules which allows people to opt out of being bullied by him. His lazy comedy though, is which I feel leads to making people think mocking others is an acceptable thing to do.
Lazy content creators are stealing videos from other peoples accounts and sharing them again, as if they own them. The same bullying videos to make fun of people.
Even worse, there are videos that contain parents making fun of or laughing at their own children for social media. I've written about a few of these TikTok trends and how child services agencies were largely ignoring these videos.
There have been some parents that have been arrested once they're officials visited their homes, completing wellness checks on their children.
I will highlight some of the most famous cases of these incidents as well.
Teens and Cyberbullying 2022
Nearly half of U.S. teens have been bullied or harassed online, with physical appearance being seen as a relatively common reason why. Older teen girls are especially likely to report being targeted by online abuse overall and because of their appearance
Nearly half of U.S. teens ages 13 to 17 (46%) report ever experiencing at least one of six cyberbullying behaviors asked about in a Pew Research Center survey conducted April 14-May 4, 2022.
The most commonly reported behavior in this survey is name-calling, with 32% of teens saying they have been called an offensive name online or on their cellphone. Smaller shares say they have had false rumors spread about them online (22%) or have been sent explicit images they didn’t ask for (17%).
These statistics are 2 years old, they are also only for the United States, the United Nations reports that these statistics are high for many countries around the world as well.
Here are some examples of the videos I'm tired of seeing on social media, I've edited them, I am highlighting some of the comments posted to these videos. Remember these people live among not only us but children.
This is one of the videos that many people in Africa are sharing, there is no way to know who created the original video because it has been shared so many time by different accounts. The videos shows up on Facebook reels.
This is a child in the video, some of the comments I didn't show, called for the death of this child.
This video is a random social media influencer that just stands on the streets in whatever country they're in, to ask people questions. While he is asking this particular woman questions, 2 men arrive to touch her and bother her. The person refuses to stop taping to stop the men, some other unseen man touches one of the men to remove him from harrassing the woman.
The person filming this video, widely shared it for the world to see, this young boy in Ghana was murdered. He was at school, when another classmate stabbed him to death.
There were countless, real news outlets in Ghana, that re-shared this video of children carrying this boys body to a local hospital where he died.
This next video is of a much younger child, she appears to be at a play area, the person sharing the video is clearly not the parent of the child. Whoever took the video did so with the intentions of sharing the fact that this child is overweight.
They zoom in at a time the girls is trying to stand up, they expose her body to the world, for all to comment. As expected many shamed the child, a lot "blamed" her parents for her size, not even caring if there were any medical conditions that might be the cause of her weight.
Better yet not even caring, that this is a young, child.
These are just a few of the videos I've created to highlight the bullying, however here are some of the articles I've written about parents bullying their own children for social media content.
There is a TikTok account that belongs to a Ghanaian mother, her child is biracial, Asain and Black. This account posts several videos of this little girl. They insult her by calling her Ama "China", the comments are filled with people who sexualize this toddler.
Below are more examples of parents, mocking their biracial children, people don't seem to think their content remains some where online forever.
Bizarre Case of Ghanaian TikTok’ers who Admitted They Murdered Their Child
What is more bizarre is that Ghanaians watched them and did nothing to alert police in Tema
he news media in Ghana is the most confusing to follow, several news outlets reported that this couple murder both of their sons. While other’s report that they only murder one child, which the father claimed was a demon.
UTV News Ghana is reporting that it’s 2 children, while one article outlines that their 8-year-old son was able to escape and tell how his younger brother was murdered.
Apparently people watched as the couple started behaving strange, yet not one Ghanaian reported them to the police to check on the well being of the children. Not one person that was in Tema Ghana checked on these children.
There is a photo of the mother standing over a child that appears to be skin and bones from TikTok, where followers did nothing but watch.
Disturbing TikTok videos lead to arrest of couple for child murder
The Tema Community Police have taken custody of a couple known as Godpapa The Greatest and Empress Lupita, following their viral videos that raised serious concerns on social media platforms. The videos depicted troubling behavior exhibited by the couple on the TikTok platform.
In a shocking turn of events, during an interview with YouTuber Kofi TV, the couple admitted to the killing of one of their two children, claiming that the child was possessed by an evil spirit.
Empress Lupita, the mother of the children, stated that her husband had foreseen a future where their son, named El Shaa, would transform into a demonic entity capable of spawning more demons and posing a threat to Ghana and the world. They believed that sacrificing him was necessary to protect the nation.
In a subsequent interview with Kofi TV, the surviving child, an 8-year-old who managed to escape from his parents, corroborated the shocking revelation made by his parents. The young boy disclosed that his brother, El Shaa, was indeed murdered by his mother and father. He revealed that his parents had poisoned El Shaa through a concoction made with ‘gari soakings,’ and when the desired outcome failed, they buried him alive.
Furthermore, the child made several allegations of mistreatment against his parents. He claimed that they would occasionally defecate in a bucket and later blend it to prepare soup for them to consume along with banku, a local dish.
Below is the news report about the TikTok mom who was abusing her children.
I could continue to write for a few hours, the amount of social media content that is disturbing because the videos are simply meant to abuse others. These are some of the most careless accounts in the world but they know that bullying others makes them more popular.
