In modern offices, the classic desktop has been replaced by the laptop. With the advantage of portability and performance that often equals office desktops, the laptop is the main work tool in most companies today.

If you are among those who use a laptop for daily tasks, today we will teach you how to take care of your laptop to keep it in optimal operating parameters, avoiding overheating or even failure.

We recommend that you follow the steps below in order to get optimal results without having to repeat certain operations several times. Make sure you have all the necessary accessories ready before you start the cleaning process.

You will need a few microfiber cloths or any other lint-free soft cloth and foam to clean your IT equipment. If you lack wipes, they can be replaced with dedicated wipes or universal wipes. Special wipes can be used to clean the screen.

A compressed air spray to remove dust deposited under the keyboard and in the laptop's cooling system will prove to be very helpful. It would be good to have a thin-tipped brush at hand to remove dirt and dust from hard-to-reach places.

Cleaning the dust deposited in the laptop's cooling system.

You will start with this step because the dust removed from the cooling system can be deposited on the laptop case and in other places that you have already cleaned.

Identify the holes used to remove hot air from inside the laptop. Depending on the model, they may be on the left, right, back, or under the laptop. Use compressed air spray to remove dust.

Use short jets, directing the air jet in a different direction each time. Continue the operation until you remove all the dust. Careful!! Do not use the air jet directly on the laptop's electrical components!

Cleaning the keyboard.

You will remove dust, cracks, and other impurities using a thin-tipped brush. After removing these impurities, you will use the compressed air spray to remove the remaining dust. In order not to damage the keyboard, direct the jet of compressed air from a distance of 15–20 cm.

Divide the keyboard area into several segments to make sure you don't miss any areas. Finally, wipe the keyboard surface with a soft microfiber cloth or cleaning wipes.

This is when you can sanitize the keyboard using a disinfectant solution. Do not use abrasives or cleaning chemicals! These will affect both the keyboard and the laptop case!

 Cleaning the housing.

It is the simplest and easiest step. A microfiber cloth or special wipes and a cleansing foam for IT equipment are enough. If the laptop is very dirty, you can initially use a slightly damp cloth.

After removing the persistent dirt, use special foam and microfiber cloth to finish cleaning the case. By applying a sanitizing solution, you can disinfect your laptop to remove germs. Do not use abrasive cloths, thinners, or chemical cleaners!

Cleaning the screen.

Being a sensitive component, we recommend your attention and patience. You can use a screen cleaning kit or special wipes. Do not use rough cloths, you risk scratching the screen irretrievably!

With circular motions without pressing too hard, it removes dirt from the display. Continue until complete removal of dirt and fingerprints.

That's all! Your laptop is clean and working again in optimal parameters. Now you can optimize certain aspects of the operating system to get an increase in performance and speed. How?

Operating system optimization.

Installing a dedicated program that cleans and optimizes the operating system and laptop files. CC Cleaner, for example, is a simple, free solution for cleaning and optimizing your operating system, registry, files, and Internet browser.

Use it at least twice a month to keep everything in top shape.
