Best Macs in 2022-23

Let's judge the ingenious laptops

Which is the best Mac depending upon your use case? Let's find out:

MacBook Air M2

The MacBook Air M2 comes with a price bump from its predecessor, the MacBook Air M1 which started at $999. The new starts from a price of $1199. It comes in 4 new colors - midnight, starlight, space gray and silver.

The outside frame has adopted the simplified, retro design of the 14in MacBook Pro, with no tapering, just a flat top and bottom with smoothed sides. However, the M2 Air is 4.8mm thinner, 50g lighter and 20% smaller by volume than the old model, making it much slimmer than the comparatively chunky-looking Pro.

The technology giant Apple has also worked to shrink the bezels of MacBook Air M2 to offer a more immersive 13.6’’ display experience featuring the infamous notch similar to its MacBook Pro 14’’ and 16’’ variants. In the sale, Apple is also offering a free pair of AirPods with the student discount.

It is a great budget MacBook for students and travellers alike. It has great trendy colors and a 500 nits brightness screen. It also has better performance than the previous M1 chip (about 20% better). It also has the very controversial notch.

MacBook Pro 14" and 16"

The new MacBook 14 inch and 16 inch comes with the new M1 Pro and M1 Max chips that offer crazy performance to power users. The 2021 MacBook Pro models come in 14.2-inch and 16.2-inch size options and they're equipped with mini-LED displays, more ports, up to 64GB memory, and more powerful Apple silicon chips.

Apple's new MacBook Pro models can be configured with the M1 Pro chip or the M1 Max chip. Both chips feature a 10-core CPU with eight high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores, though there is a lower-end 8-core model available for the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro. There's also a 16-core Neural Engine in both chips.

The 14 inch version is a bit more bulky than the previous 13" MacBook, but that tradeoff is worthwile for people who need the extra power. The 16" MacBook has a better cooling system and a lot better battery life. This is the best laptop if you are a travelling creative professional who need this kind of computing power.

It also contains a full size HDMI and SD Card Reader. The 14" version starts from $1,999 and the 16" version starts from $2,499.

iMac 24" with M1 Chip

The iMac 24" is an ultra-thin all-in-one Mac, 11.5mm thick to be precise -- about the same thickness as the original iPhone. A Magic Keyboard with a fingerprint sensor has also been introduced. It has a very vibrant 4.5K retina display and also has 1080p integrated webcam.

Users can enjoy their 4K iTunes content with color-accurate reproduction and excellent sound. Apple has packed six dynamic speakers into the 24-inch iMac monitor. Two pairs of force-canceling woofers are balanced with a high-performance tweeter, which works together to create room-filling sound.

I comes a wide host of colors which include - blue, green, pink, silver, yellow, orange and purple. It is a great pick for a great alternative to a bulky desktop setup.

So here I've summarized the majority of Macs available in the market as of the time of writing this article. I have left on some of the the Macs as I found them either very high-priced or impractical like the M2 13" MacBook Pro and the Mac Pro.
