I am all about diversity, multiplicity, plurality, variety, and globalization. I love to fuel my curiosity about the mechanisms behind advertising, branding, culture, communication, marketing, media, people, and the world. I am also forever intrigued to learn about Teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) through different language skills and subskills of Linguistics using contemporary pedagogical resources and theories. I like to discuss emotions, relationships, mental health issues, disabilities/inclusive needs, and lifestyle — concerning different humanistic perspectives — considering the sociocultural aspects. Anything and everything that we know, we did not know, we want to know, or we wish to forget.
In our complex world, we certainly face complex problems, and their solutions can be complex, too. But hey, don’t worry! Let’s talk about that. Let’s talk about all that is a taboo, that’s a stereotype, that’s a stigma, that’s a curse, that’s a shame, that’s a disgrace, that’s abuse or a pang of guilt. Let’s fight against all the injustices, fight for our mental health, fight to gain peace, and fight for our inclusive needs. With too many cultures, identities, ideologies, religions, and interests — why restrict ourselves to one in particular then? It is in vogue to be multifaceted in this modern knowledge economy. The future is in the hands of those who can amalgamate and synchronize.
Change is the only constant
The Psychology of Sociology and the Science of Psychology are all tied up. We live in a world where human beings make machines, and those machines give life to human beings. Emotions and relationships are all conveyed through feelings that are communicated. Communication is through the modes available and those mediums are responsible for miscommunication and the communication gap. To unlearn what is being learned and how to unlearn is an Art. An art that is yet to be taught. Pedagogy is there to teach whilst the basic skills of learning are still required.
There is no one way of doing things, being, and living
Human beings are born with multiple personality traits and with a variety of weaknesses and strengths. Support will always be available as long as we ask for it. The question is whether their weaknesses and strengths are based on the society they operate in, function in, live in and are born with, the parameters set to gauge the world and its people. All based on different norms, sometimes rigidity, and much bias — should have been based on just one underlying principle — the principle of humanity, kindness, and compassion.
Life as exploration
For me, life means to explore; we explore when we are curious; when we are curious, we learn; we learn when we have an interest; we have an interest when we experience, and the experience, be it of any sort, brings us back to the quest of life — perhaps the ‘existential crisis’. We as human beings are all given a label: gender, religion, abilities, accomplishments, disabilities, the label of disorders, the label of ethnicities — some of that transforms into the worst stigma or the best possible superficial stereotype. The world can become a better place to live if we replace prestige and prejudice.
Mental Health
Let’s build our Emotional Intelligence (EQ) for a better lifestyle. When we develop, we grow, or we move, or we heal, or we transform — in this process, we dislike what we once liked or like what we once disliked. Mental health challenges and struggles define, shake, and eventually make us. It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. We all, each one of us — have our madness(es). Yet, we are too committed to finding what makes the other person look madder. We do not realize that life is not a comparison, not at all.
Live and let live
Interfaith or no faith, God or so many Gods preach the same lesson: to live and let live. Those who do not believe in God do not judge; for those who believe in God, there is a reason why God is the judge and not you. Let’s learn to live, let’s learn to let go, learn to forget the past, learn not to think about the future, and learn to stay calm — learn to think not just what to implement but how to implement. It’s the how-to(es) that mostly fail us. The sad truth about the systems — be they — academic, sociopolitical, or religious; is that they all preach and preach the what-to (es) without going in-depth with the how-to(es). Never what-to questions fail us; it is always almost the how-to questions we never know how to answer. Moreover, we assume we know the why, whilst the why, the why to live — remains misunderstood.....
