What Are the Health Concerns Behind Vape Bans?

Vaping has gained a lot of attention over the past few years. Vapes were initially made to help adults break the habit of smoking cigarettes. Vapes deliver nicotine more efficiently as compared to cigarettes and are available in multiple flavors, including fruity blends like the blueberry raspberry vape.

Although vapes were created for adults but the sleek design and a wide range of flavors attracted a lot of young people. These vapes are a safer alternative to cigarettes, but this does not mean that they are completely harmless. This popularity has raised concerns, and this has led to the banning of vapes in many places. In this blog, we will talk about these health concerns in detail.

How Vaping Works And What Made It So Popular?

Vapes are a lot different than smoking. Vapes come with a tank that is filled with e-juice. This juice is then heated with the help of a coil that is present inside the vape. When heated, this juice converts into vapor, which is then inhaled by the user.

These liquids are available in a huge variety of flavors, including mint flavored, dessert flavored, and fruit flavored vapes like the blueberry vape. Due to these amazing flavors, the younger generation is getting attracted to vaping, and the government is trying to prevent this, as vapes contain nicotine, which can make it addictive.

“Safer” Does Not Mean Harmless

When both smoking and vaping are compared in terms of safety, vaping comes out on top. In vaping, there is no burning required, and due to this, it reduces exposure to harmful chemicals like tar and carbon monoxide. Studies show that these toxins can cause cancer. This makes vaping a much safer option for nic intake.

However, safer does not mean that it is harmless. The liquid used in vapes contains nic, which is an addictive substance and can become harder to quit if used for longer periods of time. Also, the vapor from vapes consists of small particles that can irritate the lungs and heart.

Health Risks From Vaping

Many health risks have been linked to vaping. The vapor from vapes is not completely harmless. If someone vapes for many years, they will experience coughing, chest pain, and shortness of breath. These symptoms are not noticeable when people start vaping, but in the long run, they gradually start to develop.

The vape juices that are used in vapes contain an addictive substance called nic. As vapes are more efficient when it comes to nic delivery so it becomes easier to get addicted. This is very dangerous for young people as nic can have direct effects on the memory, learning, and can reduce attention spans. If a person gets addicted, quitting this habit becomes very hard. To protect the younger generation from getting addicted to vaping, the government is taking the initiative to ban these devices.

What Are The Long-Term Effects Of Vaping?

As vaping has been introduced recently, the long term side effects are unknown. While cigarettes have been around for over a century, vaping has only been around for about a decade, so it is difficult to know how it might affect health when used for many years.

However, some early studies have shown that vaping can cause inflammation and damage to the blood vessels. The unknown effects make it more dangerous, as you don’t know how it is affecting your body, unlike cigarettes. Due to this, the health officials are banning vapes until more evidence is available.

How Are Disposable Vapes A Threat To The Environment?

Vaping not only has a negative impact on health but can also be a threat to the environment. Disposable vapes are devices that come with prefilled e-juice and can only be used for a specific number of puffs. After the puff count or the e-juice is finished, they should be disposed of and replaced with a new device in order to continue vaping. When these vapes are not disposed of properly, they can harm the environment, as they come with batteries and other metal parts. This waste can cause pollution and risk safety if they are thrown into the regular trash.

Conclusion

To conclude, while vaping was made to help adults quit smoking, it also of attractive flavors. Along with helping the adults, the sleek design and appealing flavors also grabbed the attention of young vapers. Scientists have found that although vapes are safer than cigarettes, they can still cause damage to the lungs and make users addicted to nic. The government is taking the initiative to ban these vapes to try and protect the younger generation from being dependent on this harmful habit. Along with health, disposable vapes also contribute to pollution if they are not disposed of properly.
