Gregory Stock’s The Book Of Questions prompts — Do you consider yourself well organized? How often do you have to look for your keys?

Organization is a skill. I have a friend who has

Raised five children as a single parent, and she has her ways

Growing up, I wasn’t organized, but I got things done

And as an adult, I can still get things done. I believe I’ve won

Needing to be more organized is my feeling in some instances

I make sure I do that with help. Husbands provided assistances

Zoom meetings can be important in keeping organized

Every friend and partner is helping me to get reorganized

Degrees in Organizational Management are what a few friends have.

~~

My keys are in a certain pocket of my purse. My husband doesn’t go into my purse; however, he may ask for my keys, and when he does, I will sometimes go looking for them and remember I had given them to him, so the looking isn’t for long.

Gregory Stock’s The Book Of Questions prompts — If you could increase your I.Q. by 40 points by having an ugly scar stretching from your mouth to your eye, would you do so?

Never!! My IQ is high enough. Even though I am aware, at my age, that my brain is shrinking, along with my height. By reading every day and being a lifelong learner, I do not have any need for a higher IQ.

Gregory Stock’s The Book Of Questions prompts — Would you be willing to do something very unsatisfying? (for example — clean toilets) for five years if you were certain that the experience would afterwards would bring you a deep sense of personal fulfillment for the rest of your life?

I would have no trouble with having that experience, and I have had it. I helped my mother clean cabins early in life, and as a teenager, I cleaned cabins. That was when I was living at home. Later, when married, we managed apartments and would have turnovers that needed cleaning.

My thoughts as I grew older were that I wanted to be comfortable and not struggle so much in life, and that is why I got an education. When I married someone who said I didn’t have to work, I didn’t know what to do with myself.

I went back to school. I am grateful that I did. Not so that I would have a deep sense of personal fulfillment, but so that I would not have to struggle in paying my bills or buying food. I never wanted to live off assistance, and I haven’t needed to.

In retirement, it would have been nice to have saved more. But, so far, I am doing alright. At medical appointments, I am always asked if I have enough to eat, along with if I feel safe in my home. My response is always, “Do I look like I have enough to eat?” I always think that will stop that question, but it doesn’t. It is a requirement.

In the work I continue to do, there is a sense of personal fulfillment as I am thanked for what I do, and the evaluations of my group work and training are always positive. I am satisfied with doing my best at work in life, no matter the work.

Great Q/A, Denise hmmm, would I still have common sense along with the IQ I gain? I don't know. Looks aren't everything, and neither is being a genius.

  • another fabulous article, Denise

Another great set of confessions, Denise. I have OCD, so everything has to have its place, and I organize to the despair of others., I stopped rearranging boxes on the supermarket shelves several years ago, after extensive therapy. Now I just do it at home. 😉😉

  • That's such a huge scar to have in exchange for something. I would never choose that option, lol

What great answers to these questions. I was a housekeeper for a community college cleaning classrooms and professor's offices, as well as dirty hallway ashtrays back in 1988. I also worked night shift as a certified nurse's aide. Both jobs got me to thinking what I really wanted to do. Teach and write. Your acrostic gave me an idea for that word as well. Hope you do not mind me writing one on the word 'Organization' too. Good job.
