Start writing...INTRODUCTION: What prompt me to write this article is my deep interest in understanding how we think and behave, and the prompt behind every action we take. This world we’re in is full of mysteries. There are many things we don’t understand about our lives, how we behave, and how we think. There’s always a prompt behind every action we take in life; I personally believe that we don’t just do things. As an aspiring neuropsychologist, I believe in the Astonishing Hypothesis illustrated by a famous, Noble prize winning biologist, Francis Crick. He explained how our mental life, which is what makes us special: our most intimate feelings and thoughts also arises from a material thing which is the BRAIN.
THE PLACE OF THOUGHT. The mind is the ground where the seed of thought is planted. Thoughts are seeds; they are sowed just like how farmers sow seeds during the planting season. As for a farmer, there are two seasons. During the planting season, he sow seeds, while during the harvesting period, he harvests whatever he has sowed. Meanwhile, all crops have different planting and harvesting seasons. But in the case of the mind, the planting and harvesting period is always in progression. As long has you have deposited something, the more you leave it there, the more your harvest would be. For instance, when you deposit the seed of hatred in your mind towards someone, as long as it is still there, you’ll continue hating the person and not only that because you’ll also lack peace of mind.
Another instance is when you sow corrupt seeds in your heart, there’s no doubt you’ll continue to be corrupt unless you uproot it.

WHAT IS IMAGINATION? Imagination is the reflection of our thoughts. It brings the picture of what we have in mind into reflection. All these processes — seeing, hearing, perceiving, thinking, and imagining things takes place in the mind. The place of imagination is the MIND.
THE PSYCHOLOGY OF ACTIONS AND ITS PROMPT. The mind is actually one of the basis of psychology. That is, psychology deals with how the brain works — which is something I’m highly interested in. The Psychology of actions and it’s prompts explains that behind every action, there’s a cause, either negative or positive. The level of negativity and positivity is what dictate whether the actions we take are right or wrong.
WHAT IS THE MIND? The mind, which is also the brain, is the source of mental life. The mind is an information processor. It processes all information before an action takes place. The official term for the mind is materialism. Materialism is the idea that our mental life emerges from our physical brain, the assembly of nerves cells. According to Francis Crick idea of Astonishing Hypothesis, he said as thus; “Astonishing Hypothesis is that You, your joy, your sorrow, ambition, memory, sense of personal identity, and free will — are in fact no more than the behavior of a vast assembly of nerve cells and their associated molecules”.

More also, according to the manifestation of dualism, you could believe in intelligent beings without bodies because the mind and the body are two separate things. And this raises the idea that you could have the body without the mind or vice versa, and that’s what a corpse is. The destruction of your body doesn’t mean the destruction of YOU. Your mind is YOU. The Bible also says according to Proverb 10:19; “As a man thinketh heart, so is he” (paraphrased). Having identified the place of thought as the mind, we could simply say that the condition of your heart determines the condition of your life because your actions is as a result of the current state of your mind. Subsequently, the mind is wired in a such a way that makes it work very fast and more efficient.
The mind is the physical seed of thought. Like I said earlier, as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. The way you think is a determinant of the way you’ll behave; you can’t behave differently from the state of your mind. Whatever you sow is what you would reap. Is it possible for a farmer to plant rice and harvest beans? No, it is not possible. You will surely reap the same thing you sowed. Similarly, you can’t deposit seeds of negative thoughts in your mind, and hope that you would behave positively. The mind is the ground(soil) where all thoughts(seed) is planted.
And I pray we receive the grace to always think positively so as to yield positive things in life.Note: This is a very complex and complicating subject, so ideas and opinions are welcomed. You can do that in the comment section. Let’s dive into the deepest part of this subject.
