The Gorilla and the Lion...

A member of parliament (not a former minister) who had lost the election and was left without a job decided to find a job. They had shown fake certificates and fake degrees even then. Therefore, it was not easy to find a job. The only qualification that was needed was to be able to lie and act well.

This member of parliament finally went abroad because there was no job in Sri Lanka. Even there, it was not easy to find a job. Finally, he got a wonderful job at a zoo.

''Our most popular animal, the gorilla, recently died. I will pay you 300 dollars. Can you dress up as a gorilla and act like one?''

The zoo owner asked him.

The MP agreed and in a few moments put on the gorilla's clothes and went inside the cage to entertain the audience. This task was not very difficult for the MP.

The lion's cage was located right next to the gorilla's cage. Seeing the lion roaring at the gorilla, he climbed up the cage and started swinging his arms from side to side, hoping to anger the lion even more.

As the lion-gorilla game became very popular among the audience, the zoo owner increased his salary to $500.

Now this lion-gorilla game went up and down.

But one unfortunate day, the gorilla's arm slipped and fell right at the lion's feet. The MP was very scared. He started running around the cage, screaming. Meanwhile, the lion, roaring, approached him and brought its mouth close to his head. The helpless man closed his eyes.

"Don't shout, you fools. I was in the same parliament as you. I also lost my membership. Now are you trying to lose both of our jobs here too...?"
