Self-love is the road toward healing. These prompts are an invitation to step inside yourself. Rupi Kaur

These next four prompts are the last time to step inside self of these writing prompts Denise Estey Lindquist

Stepping inside myself has been an interesting journey. My life of recovery has made such a difference when it comes to self-love and I am now more aware of that than ever.

No regrets about practicing the gratitude, self-love and balance prompts to take a peek at what needs to happen and what has already happened. Early recovery brought the following.

My first sponsor had me selling Avon

Avon is important to wear to sell

Sell yourself by dressing for success

Success will help you with self-love

Self-love is important for loving others

Others help us to love

Love is one of our 7 grandfathers

Grandfathers that show our values

Values we want to live by

Rupi Kaur Self-love Writing Prompts - Is there anything you need to forgive yourself for?

Forgiveness is necessary on a regular basis as due to our being human we will fail from time to time. "Progress not perfection" is the motto many people I know work toward. So just because we are human doesn't let us off the hook for continuing our work toward perfection.

It is easier to notice a need to forgive others than to forgive me. What I do for others to forgive is to pray for them to have what I want for me for two weeks. That usually does it. I can't believe all that I have forgiven. Forgetting hasn't happened for most but then again, I have forgotten much.

When I forgive me I have been able to forget most. I do pray for God's will not mine. Then when I make a mistake that I need to forgive, it helps to know that I am human and will make mistakes and the best thing I can do is to forgive myself for being human.

Rupi Kaur Self-love Writing Prompts - How can you be more appreciative of all your body is doing to keep you alive?

Appreciation of my body is taking a look at what I can do by staying in this day only. Sometimes looking in the mirror I think, I have to lose weight. Then I think I can't do that today, but what I can do is...

Eat right for my circumstances Today

Today I will eat slower and stick to my plan

Plan in a minimum of 5 minutes of exercise

Exercise for my body, then exercise for my mind

Mind by reading something to help me to heal

Heal my body, mind, emotions and spirit.

Spirit it is said to heal spirit you heal everything.

Everything sounds like a lot. Today I will trust Creator-God

Creator-God is the answer to all my problems on this day.

Rupi Kaur Self-love Writing Prompts - If I could let go of my biggest insecurities, I would ___________________.

Learn to turn it over each morning when I greet the new day. Prayer and meditation will lead me in the direction I need to go to battle insecurities. Sometimes my insecurities help others as they have similar insecurities or the same ones and are helped by my struggles when I share them.

Rupi Kaur Self-love Writing Prompts - What will you say to self-doubt the next time it shows up?

I will reach up and say Pluck you vulture. Vulture lives on negativity and self-doubt, insecurities, all our negative messages and procrastination are food for the vulture! Practice positivity - daily gratitude lists. The vulture will starve when there is no vulture food. (Sid Simons Vulture story)

Vulture food is not good stuff

Stuff that makes us feel better

Better than we deserve we believe

Believe you are lovable

loveable and capable

capable and grateful

Grateful everyday for having self-love

Forgiveness is something I really struggle with, be it for myself or others. Loved all your poems!

Great job on all these prompts and past prompts. You can still write about self-love and keep an online journal here.

  • Great advice to live by!
