The Demon of the Mist
By; Kathy Frizzell aka Chantel....

The amazing story of Raven-Wolf, filled with mythical creatures and powerful magic, unfolds within the imposing walls of Domicile aka Castle-Rock, a testament to the power of fantasy.
Hang on tight; a completely unexpected turn of events is about to leave you speechless. We should be skeptical of the narrator’s account given by her questionable reliability.
{I begin this account of my survival, not as a mythical phoenix rising from the ashes, but as a human being who has overcome the extraordinary challenge of surviving a double stroke.}
In 2016, I started my time at Georgian College; on “General Arts and Science–Liberal Studies Foundation”. This was before the double stroke that transformed my life. Started my first year, double stroke interfered with completing my undergraduate program in the double stroke interfered with completing my undergraduate program in the “Creative-Writing, ghost-writing, copy-writer, Freelance-Author,” I feel ready and excited to restart my life living to the fullest to Never Giving Up.

Fantasy literature provides a portal for readers, enabling them to transcend the boundaries of reality and become active participants in extraordinary adventures and fantastical escapades within richly imagined worlds.
I’m working on my first novel this rainy evening, enveloped in the comforting warmth of the fireplace.
The evening in Castle Rock held an odd quality—the waves unexpectedly surged and calmed, making for atypical weather.
My identity: I am Raven-Wolf, a High-Princess of the druids-Blood Hunter, Cleric, with long, vibrant blue-green cascade of my hair flowed down my back, a stark contrast to my pale skin and the striking purple-hour-glass eyes that glowed with an almost ethereal light.
Article of clothing; the ensemble comprises medieval armor from the 18th century, leather trousers, a stylish top, native leather boots, a crown resembling that of a princess, a short bow, arrows, daggers, a wand, magical tools, a satchel for holding supplies, and a mysterious mythological aura.
Graceful and cold, my movements are those of a fearless god, inspiring kindness, honesty, loyalty, and bravery in people, and the loyalty and independence in animals, while my imperious nature creates a subtle chill that keeps others at a distance.
I’m a “Creative-Writer, ghost-writing, copy-writer, Freelance-Author,” whose articles on criminal psychology often leave me pondering the complexities of the human psyche; the tap-tap-tap of my keyboard is the soundtrack to my investigations.
This involves a lot of time spent immersed in the detailed world of case files, their contents both intriguing and sometimes disturbing, interspersed with interviews, each conversation a chance to piece together the truth.
Something strange moved before me, causing me to freeze, though I quickly reasoned it was just my imagination running wild—I’m the sole resident. The abrupt ringing of the telephone broke this eerie silence.
The mysterious phone call I just received had me reflecting on how much my life has changed, and as I hung up the phone, the thought of it brought a little smile to my face; I realized I’m not in Kansas anymore.
The sudden awareness of another’s presence pierced my fragile sanctuary, leaving me feeling vulnerable in my moment of quiet escape.
Through the room danced a playful gust of wind, its movement causing the lights to twinkle merrily, as if they were fireflies celebrating a secret, hidden and known only to a select few.
Awakening to the dying fire’s last flicker, a sense of unease washed over me as an unusual quiet filled the air, settling deep within my bones; the abrupt ringing of the telephone broke this eerie silence, causing me to jump and subsequently trip as I scrambled to answer.
Following the conclusion of the telephone conversation, I added a small amount of wood to the fire to dispel the chill in the air, as that significant phone call was a task assigned to Raven-Wolf.
Having put down my phone, I excitedly began packing, ready to embark on an adventure and a trip that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Amid packing, a strange feeling of unease washed over me, a feeling I tried to suppress; however, the branch of my oldest tree scratched the window, causing significant damage, and then, out of the darkness, appeared a long-lost friend.
Raistlin’s background displayed characteristics consistent with vampires or monks. The physical presence or demeanor of an individual. He was a striking figure with jet-black hair flowing to his shoulders, ripped jeans highlighting his muscular frame, and eyes that glowed an almost otherworldly orange.
Having had to postpone my trip, I busied myself with preparing a spread of snacks, attending to the crackling fireplace, and happily engaging in pleasant conversation until the late hours of the evening approached.
In a hushed whisper before their departure, Raistlin advised Raven-Wolf to be wary, explaining that his intuition sensed danger and that the situation might differ from their plans, a warning that Raven-Wolf always took seriously.
Upon waking from a dream, or so she thought, Raven-Wolf discovered a scroll tied with a map that revealed a safer route lying beside her.
In my haunted house, the day’s eerie vibe was noticeable, even to Raven-Wolf, as the story unfolds. With sleep still clinging to my senses, I attended to the fire, aiming to take the chill from the air and put the kettle on for breakfast, just as my one true friend, Hoots—my white owl—stirred from her nest and joined me.
Today, I set my sights on a new adventure where the wind blows in another direction; then, a current swept me and Hoots—my white owl—into another time and space.
In that instant, as “Raven-Wolf” emerged from her “bubble,” she looked around to see if anyone was paying attention, while “Blade” read her thoughts and felt confused, questioning, Luna, Spirit-Walker?
By telepathy, “Blade” whispered to “Raven-Wolf,” conveying that “Luna, {Spirit-Walker}” was unsuccessful in her attempt to enter his mind. “Blade” claims that there’s no reason to be worried.
Within us lies a mist that hides our personal demons, but there are those who are adept at suppressing them by adhering to their own set of “rules” and “laws.” In the moonlight, Elf Owl guarded Raven-Wolf from above.
Based on that logic, “Raven-Wolf” recommended that we set up camp for the night, and while we did so, “Raven-Wolf” couldn’t shake the feeling that something was amiss in “Luna (Spirit-Walker) tale.”
In the morning that followed, only “Raven-Wolf,” and “Raistlin {Mage}” were awake, looking after the fire and gathering wood for breakfast.
While Tasslehoff and Gold-Moon were sleeping, Blade, the vampire, skulked in the shadows. Luna, Spirit-Walker, communed with creatures to unravel the mystery of Blade.
Once we finished eating, Raistlin proposed we collect our stuff and head out. Our journey has brought us to the Netherlands, where a thrilling adventure awaits. There were troubles for “Raven-Wolf” and someone or something was attempting to capture the attention of “Gold-Moon.”
As we journeyed, a portion of the group got swept away by the whirlwind, while the rest stayed on the established path.
Following “Blade,” who followed Raistlin, Raven-Wolf, Gold-Moon, and Tasslehoff continued to guide them to their next destination.
Hurrying through the transition from day to night, she felt that unsettling sensation again. She exclaimed, “Raven-Wolf,” checking if everyone was still with her, and noticed that “Raistlin” and “Blade” were nowhere to be found.
Upon stepping out of the portal, we immediately noticed a difference in our surroundings, and as we stood there in confusion, Tasslehoff was on the verge of asking what the fuck was going on. We encountered unfamiliar individuals and supernatural entities that seemed to surround us.
When we passed through a portal, “Blade” wondered, “Where are we?” and “Raven-Wolf” posed a more intriguing question, “When are we?”
I can state with certainty that it was not a dream. The presence of the dark phoenix on my mantel left me completely enthralled, speechless, and immersed in deep thought. While observing this awe-inspiring creature, I reflected on why it was leading me through this portal, and thoughts about eternal life, resurrection, and the underworld consumed my mind. The ethereal brightness of the supernatural presence that tormented “Raven-Wolf” shimmered.
The book we couldn’t stop reading delved into magic, spells, and the world of witches. Even without proof, there must be a reason behind the origin of these legends. Most legends have their origins in actual events.
Classical antiquity is where the belief in witchcraft in Europe originated. Europeans believed witchcraft to be a combination of sorcery and heresy from 500 to 1750.
Sorcery involves using formulas and rituals to produce negative supernatural effects, while heresy specifically refers to a pact with the Devil in Christian witchcraft.
During their novel imprisonment, Raven-Wolf, Tasslehoff (Karakorum-Warlock), and Gold-Moon (Dark-Elf-Sorceress) meet a Phoenix. A peculiar occurrence was taking place with the two necklaces of “Luna {Spirit-Walker}” and “Raven-Wolf” prior to our encounter with a Phoenix.
Since we were on a quest, she’s prevented from revisiting her home on Castle Rock and finding the picture or other clues.
The “Flaming Blue Arrow” forces were constructing a glowing and astonishing “Raven-Wolf” who must remember things she cannot presently alter.
Raven-Wolf, who possesses three different classes {High-Princess of the druids-Blood Hunter, Cleric,} is about to test her skills. Her parents’ passing, the castle clues, and a picture hanging on the dining room wall marked her background. While “Raven-Wolf” was fast asleep, a ghostly figure appeared in her dreams to deliver a message, but all she found was a crest and her necklace that drew her to her cousin “Luna, {Spirit-Walker.}”
I’m curious about the reason behind the radiant glow of these two necklaces and “Raven-Wolf’s” newfound preoccupation with her hometown. Her friends assigned her to join their adventure in the Netherlands.
While roaming around, Raven-Wolf (three different classes: high-elf priestess, blood-hunter, and druid), Gold-Moon (Elf-Sorceress), and Tasslehoff (Karakorum-Warlock) realize their incarceration within the novel.
In the book that had us fully absorbed, there was a balance between magic, mythical spells, and witchcraft. A glowing { overtook the other worlds Flaming Blue Arrow, leaving us with no means of escape.
Tasslehoff, demonstrating his sneakiness and craftiness, used his technique to redirect the phoenix’s focus, enabling “Gold-Moon, and {Raven-Wolf,}” to flee while remaining hidden.
While making our escape from the Phoenix, a wall of fire appeared right where we had been standing. Thoughts encompassing everlasting life, coming back to life, and the world beyond.
While escaping from the phoenix, I noticed a figure lurking in the shadows, going by the name “Hades” {Spirit,} which caught the attention of a journalist. The disturbing noise trapped us all in a labyrinth, and, according to “Gold-Moon,” someone will hold us captive.
As they set out on their quest, “Raven-Wolf, Gold-Moon, and Tasslehoff” found themselves faced with a fork in the road, remembering when they were departing from the crossroads, where they had prepared with supplies.
Now that “Tasslehoff” has the attention of “Raven-Wolf,” we found “Gold-Moon” and she yelled at us to get down!
As we obeyed, a massive, heavy-footed entity was lurking nearby. We quickly hid just in time to witness a phoenix emerging.
Captivated by the phoenix, we found ourselves confined within a novel. “Tasslehoff” is thoroughly perplexed and inquisitive about what is taking place. “Raven-Wolf” uttered, {could you both please remain quiet, allowing me to think}, at that moment “Tasslehoff” hurried away and “Gold-Moon” started searching.
Upon realizing that Gold-Moon was absent, Tasslehoff jumped up and down to get Raven-Wolf’s attention.
Trusting her intuition, “Gold-Moon” made the right decision to veer off the beaten path.
“Raven-Wolf” let out a piercing shriek, causing “Gold-Moon” and “Tasslehoff” to spring into action. As we raced towards one another, a vibrant, magical glow encased us in its fiery embrace.
A radiant {Flaming Blue Arrow} seized control of the other worlds, leaving us without an escape route. With her magical abilities, Luna {Spirit-Walker} brought to life the Book of the Damned, using her own flesh and blood and visions as her guide.
The book that had us completely captivated struck a harmonious balance between magic, mythical spells, and witchcraft. The ones saved by Luna, also known as Spirit-Walker, include Raven-Wolf, Gold-Moon, and Tasslehoff.
Released from the fiery grip, we come face to face with Luna, Spirit-Walker, the person who revealed themselves to be “Raven-Wolf, Tasslehoff, and Gold-Moon.” With fiery red hair, pale skin, and eyes as white as snow, Luna exudes an enchanting aura. Through their choice of clothing, which includes leather pants, a torn t-shirt, and a tattooed arm band, they proudly represent their Indigenous heritage.
Their dark glasses hinted at the presence of a hidden depth and concealed cloak. The distinct style is further emphasized by the moccasin boots, which are crafted from deer hide. Noteworthy attributes encompass clarity of thought, discipline, freethinking, and the ability to commune with spirits, leading to the rescue of “Raven-Wolf, Gold-Moon, Tasslehoff.”
A feeling of ease embraced Raven-Wolf, Tasslehoff, and Gold-Moon as they gathered around the fire in the Luna Spirit-Walker wigwam, an indigenous structure resembling a dome.
Right then, “Raistlin” and “Blade” appeared through a portal, and “Luna (Spirit-Walker)” asked them to join for a feast.
After spending hours chit-chatting and finishing our meal, “Gold-Moon” began yawning, which made the rest of us follow suit, and we all agreed it was time for bed.
As everyone slumbered, “Raven-Wolf” remained awake, their eyes alert, immersed in profound reflection, feeling unsettled by the enigmatic murmurs that permeated the fabric of time and space.
“Raven-Wolf” thought to herself that this was fucking stupid, and I am wide awake while all my friends are fast asleep.
Given the absence of sleep, “Raven-Wolf” explores the village silently in order to prevent disturbing others. Right now, “Raven-Wolf” had some unexpected company as her uncle noticed her and invited her to join him in the kitchen for a warm cup of cocoa.
He put aside any rudeness and was genuinely pleased to see her, leading to a long conversation about not just my current state, but also the reasons behind our joint journey.
Since the death of my parents, I’ve been studying tirelessly to make them proud, but it has made me feel alone. However, everything changed for “Raven-Wolf” when she discovered a concealed passage that opened up a whole new world of inquiries. Why? As I explained they left her three clues and nowhere to go with family, he asked me about my necklace glowing when we discovered “Luna, {Spirit-Walker}.”
Is there anything else you need to add? Uncle inquired about the reason behind assigning “Raven-Wolf” to take revenge on “Hades,” and our investigation pointed us to the Netherlands. We successfully unraveled the cryptic letter with the help of “Flaming Blue Arrow.”
This serves as a reminder, not a warning, to care for “Luna” and yourself, despite the lack of “Raven-Wolf’s” uncle’s help in solving the final clue for the “Flaming Blue Arrow,” and a heartfelt message for “Raven-Wolf.”
During mealtime, Luna, referred to as Spirit-Walker, was telling the story of the paranormal events occurring in her village. Being a truth finder, she was aware of the truth about Raven-Wolf, the journalist/criminal-minds.
While sharing the events in her village, Luna, referred to as the Spirit-Walker, encountered both fearful reactions and dismissive claims that it was a fabricated story used by ancestors to assert family responsibilities.
In the peaceful woods, “Hades” dies, and someone left a lifeless message with “Flaming Blue Arrow,” also known as {Raven’s Bone}. The location of it was deep underground in the Netherlands. Dead letters hold the secret truth behind mythological creatures.
While “Hades” soul has vanished into purgatory, the spirits continue to torment “Raven-Wolf’s” thoughts. Just as we were discussing our quest, memories of my nightmare resurface and the whispering words return once more.
All unnatural beings separated from their natural bodies and transitioned into spirits or ghosts, bound to “Raven-Wolf” and able to hear his muttered words.
I entered the time-portal, commonly referred to as the villain’s chamber, where the fearsome dragon lives and hidden treasure magically appears.
As I explored deeper into my journey, the hidden chamber consumed my thoughts and the weather turned dreary. The presence of lightning shows the need for shelter and an opportunity to rest in a clearing. While preparing to camp, I noticed a mysterious figure lurking in the shadows, causing me to trust my instincts and stay in place.
I really could have used a warning from the Editor-in-Chief about the unsettling area of the portal. Just as I was adding more wood to the fire-pit, a lightning bolt almost hit me.
The wood I used to make my tepee fire was burning. As I pulled out my sleeping bag, I started feeling hungry, and remembered the crashing sounds from the lightning. Store the rations for another occasion and keep the time portal in mind while questioning my whereabouts.
Sleep eludes me for the rest of the night. When I finally fell asleep, a loud sound woke me, and creeping outside looked like gnomes.
With the morning arriving sooner than expected, I dismantled my tepee and continued my journey on a creepy trail. I stumbled upon a rundown shack and suddenly felt a strange presence. Luna, Blade, and Raistlin inquired, “Is that Raven-Wolf?”
Raven-Wolf inquired about their presence in the group and asked for an explanation of the current situation. Where did you guys originate from? “Blade” spoke on behalf of the group, and we got separated before ending up at this location, but we’re unsure where “here” is. We were all contemplating it.
Luna, with her hand on a tree, suddenly instructed, “Quick, hide!” We quickly dispersed, and Blade was the first to confirm it was safe.
By accident, “Raven-Wolf” discovered a sign in the bushes pointing towards the Lonely Mountain in the Netherlands, which they shared with everyone.
Pressing on along this spooky path, we felt an eerie presence and observed bugs bouncing up and down. From the bushes, five gnomes appeared, startling the bugs and causing the ground to shake. Fizzle-bub, the leader, was the first to speak, inviting us to accompany them.
Only after hours of talking did they disclose mythical creatures, with the Netherlands being home to a dragon safeguarding a valuable treasure.
Legendary beings—the dwarves, Raven-Wolf, Luna, Blade, and Raistlin—moved closer to the Inmost Cave, the Lonely Mountain in the Netherlands, where the treasure lay hidden.
With a message and a mysterious object, the dwarf departed, leaving “Raven-Wolf” as the last to leave through the open door.
As we embarked on our quest, there was an uncanny familiarity in the air as we walked. Then, Raistlin (Mage), Blade (Vampire), Luna, Spirit-Walker, and “Raven-Wolf” (a high-druid priestess, blood-hunter,) interrupted. Keep in mind what Fizzle-bub said about there being more than meets the eye in the mountains.
Though Hades has passed away, his spirit remains connected to Raven-Wolf’s Editor-in-Chief, who uncovers the mysteries of mythological creatures and supernatural spirits in forgotten realms. I am understanding the character of “Raven-Wolf” (a high-druid priestess, blood-hunter,) now.
Encased in a swirling cloud of periwinkle strips, “Raven-Wolf” transports me through a time portal, while Raistlin (Mage), Blade (Vampire), and Luna (Spirit-Walker) stay behind at the entrance of the cave.
Upon exiting the time portal, “Raven-Wolf” found themselves in darkness, using the magic contained within the words I had memorized, and a subtle radiance illuminated the ground. Following it, she stumbles over a stump.
A familiar person reached out their hand to help me get up. I wondered, “Where have you been, ‘Raven-Wolf’? The voice was so familiar, but I hadn’t heard it in a while. I set out on a quest with a friend, and we plan to meet up later.
The one who spoke first was “Raven-Wolf,” and they directed their inquiry towards Tasslehoff and Gold-Moon, two friends they stumbled upon in a rundown tavern, with Tasslehoff being a Warlock-Karakorum and Gold-Moon a Dark-Elf-Sorceress. “What is this place?” questioned Raven-Wolf.
“Gold-Moon,” spoke up first, and said: {where or what is going on with you, “Raven-Wolf.”
“Hungry, aren’t you?” Tasslehoff, a Warlock-Karakorum, commented. “Absolutely, Raven-Wolf,” replied. While tending to the fire-pit, Gold-Moon and Tasslehoff have inquiries, but can we discuss them after I eat and get warmed up?
Finally, it was time to tell the truth about “Raven-Wolf”.
In the Netherlands, there is an open cave where Raistlin, Blade, Luna, Spirit-Walker, and “Raven-Wolf” are located. “Raven-Wolf” shared her experience of being whisked away through a portal to encounter you, Tasslehoff, a Warlock-Karakorum, and Gold-Moon, a Dark-Elf-Sorceress in a run-down tavern.
“Let’s take a break and get some sleep,” said Tasslehoff, a Warlock-Karakorum. “Being well-rested will be crucial for our next adventure.”
At the moment I closed my eyes, everything turned dark, except for a glimmer in the distance, guiding me towards a hidden lair or den.
Out of all the trials, the one that the Hero called “Raven-Wolf” experienced was the most terrifying and inflicted the most despair.
The adventure centers on Raven-Wolf, who possesses three different classes: high-elf priestess, blood-hunter, and druid, each with their own expert knowledge and skills.
The journey of Raven-Wolf, once a banished baby, involved many victories. Raised by loving parents, now gone, they showed bravery by saving Goddess from a sea monster and establishing the city of Mycenae. In this story, bravery, cleverness, and fate come together. With courage, intelligence, and the aid of the divine. She embodies the quintessential hero’s journey, cementing her position in both history and storybooks.
By exemplifying wisdom, courage, and pursuing justice, theses symbolizes the ideal “Raven-Wolf”.
Tasslehoff and Gold-Moon, two extraordinary beings with magical powers, were part of the group. They endured countless trials and sufferings, with only one morally upright individual, regardless of gender, able to succeed. Job went through the devastating loss of his belongings, the tragic death of his children, and endured intense physical pain.
Amid her suffering, three friends showed up at the job.
While attempting to offer solace, Job’s friends mistakenly accused her of wrongdoing. Twelve Labours, a daunting series of tasks assigned as penance—a journey that took him to the far reaches of the known world, battling monstrous creatures and performing near-impossible feats.
Accompanied by Tasslehoff, a Warlock-Karakorum, and Gold-Moon, a Dark-Elf-Sorceress. Together, we are determined to retrieve the precious gold hidden in the Netherlands on the Mountain, a task made challenging by a dragon who guards it with great jealousy.
Tasslehoff, a Warlock-Karakorum, Gold-Moon, a Dark-Elf-Sorceress, and “Raven-Wolf” seek refuge in the Netherlands on the Mountain as day and night blend under a foggy sky, signifying an impending storm.
While we were all sleeping, “Raven-Wolf” was in a mixed state of REM sleep and partial wakefulness. When “Raistlin (Mage),” was using his magic to contact “Raven-Wolf,” from different realms, and there was a gruesome battle going on. While asleep, “Raven-Wolf” perspired heavily as she strained to visualize images, while also witnessing an intriguing event related to the “Flaming Blue Arrow,” which is alternatively referred to as “Raven’s Bone.”
Something unusual was happening with the “Raven’s Bone” - it was glowing and fending off the events from the other realm. Upon losing contact with “Raistlin {Mage},” “Raven-Wolf” woke up sweating profusely. She quietly checked on her friends, making sure not to disturb them, and then added more wood to the fire-pit. She sat for a few moments, astounded by the immense power it took to see images and communicate.
Tasslehoff, a Warlock-Karakorum, wide awake by the admix of day and night. Gold-Moon, a Dark-Elf-Sorceress called “Raven-Wolf,” was already awake, gathering food and collecting more wood for cooking. While we were eating, something bothered Tasslehoff and couldn’t help but speak up.
The materializing skeleton in the mist reveals the hidden supernatural truth.
Suddenly, the seeker of the prophecy appeared before Raven-Wolf, Tasslehoff, and Gold-Moon, bringing a message from the underworld foretelling the possibility of death for one or two of them. And just like that, they disappeared again.
Simultaneously, the group voiced their thoughts: “That was too bizarre, we should search for the remaining members,” at the cave entrance where Raistlin (Mage), Blade (Vampire), Luna, and Spirit-Walker were present. Just as those words left my mouth, a powerful gust of wind came out of nowhere, and next thing we knew, we were inside a cave in the Netherlands.
“Flaming Blue Arrow” known as the “Raven’s Bone” started glowing, in the hands of Blade (Vampire), who “Raven-Wolf,” entrusted with it, and then a gust of wind transformed us, meaning: {Gold-Moon, Tasslehoff, Raven-Wolf,} to the “Flaming Blue Arrow” known as the “Raven’s Bone,” in Inmost Cave: the Lonely Mountain in the Netherlands and symbolizes social order and justice.
Now as we are all together, something did not feel right! The initial speaker was “Raven-Wolf,” who simply said “duck.” Right then, the walls closed in on everyone, and we all disappeared by falling through the floor.
In need of a knowledgeable individual who can safely disable traps. Tasslehoff (Karakorum-Warlock) was highly enthusiastic and had expert skills in trap-finding and deactivation.
Prior to proceeding, it’s important to note that “Tasslehoff” was proficient in dealing with traps. We should allow him to move forward and assess the cave to ensure there are no more accidents. A gust of wind suddenly grabbed “Raven-Wolf’s” attention just given the signal to move forward.
The sacrifices they made for their achievements marked the deaths of Tasslehoff and Gold-Moon in battle.
