The 3 Online Hustles I’ll Keep Doing in 2025 — And 2 I’ll Never Touch Again.
After testing multiple online money-making methods, here are the ones worth your time — and the ones that wasted mine.
In 2024, I promised myself I’d explore as many online income streams as possible. I didn’t have much to invest, just time, creativity, and a little tech knowledge.
Now, after almost a year of experiments — from writing platforms to AI tools and short videos — I’ve figured out what’s worth continuing and what I’ll leave behind for good.
So here it is — 3 online hustles I’m definitely continuing in 2025, and 2 I’ll never touch again.
✅ The Keepers (Online Hustles I’m Sticking With)
1. YouTube Shorts (With Repurposed Content)
YouTube Shorts are a goldmine — if you know how to use them.
I’ve seen old Shorts still getting views weeks later. And once you build just one hit, it becomes a funnel to your newer content.
It’s beginner-friendly, doesn’t require fancy editing, and works great with:
AI-generated ideas
Stock footage + voiceover
Recycled content from blog posts
Pro Tip: Use trending sounds + post consistently (at least 3 times a week). And always link your Vocal or other content in the comments.
2. Writing on Vocal (But Smarter This Time)
I’ve posted over 45 stories on Vocal and made only $0.90 — and yet, I’m not quitting.
Why?
Because I realized I was doing it wrong:
I wasn’t writing SEO-based titles
I didn’t promote stories properly
I wrote passion-first, not reader-first
Now, I’m shifting my focus to clickable titles, trending topics, and storytelling with value. Vocal can still be a passive traffic source if done right.
3. LinkedIn Content + Networking
LinkedIn has surprisingly opened up the most valuable connections for me — especially since I started posting insights from my content journey.
No, I didn’t make money directly from LinkedIn, but:
I got new readers for my Vocal stories
Found people in crypto, startups, and content fields
Got real feedback, which improved my writing voice
It’s free, it’s organic, and it builds credibility.
❌ The Ones I’m Quitting
1. Freelance Marketplaces Without Niches (Fiverr, Upwork, etc.)
Unless you’re highly skilled or super-niched, platforms like Fiverr and Upwork are overcrowded deserts.
I tried offering general writing gigs, SEO services, and even voiceovers. Most clients were low-paying or wanted unrealistic delivery timelines.
If you’re starting from scratch, build your own audience first or focus on portfolio + outbound pitching instead of waiting for orders to appear.
2. Survey and Microtask Apps
Yes, I tried those “watch ads and earn $1” apps. Let me save you the time:
Most are borderline scams
Some don’t pay out at all
The ones that do pay, give you $0.01 per task
If your time is worth anything, skip them. They kill motivation and give false hope.
Final Thoughts
In 2025, I’m doubling down on content-based hustles that can scale over time — not quick-money tricks that burn out in days.
If you're serious about online income, test different methods — but always evaluate them based on:
Time investment vs return
Growth potential
Skill-building
Some hustles will flop. Others will surprise you.
But the only thing that never pays? Quitting before you optimize
