The 2096 Introduction

This is my World

By Omar SchrayterPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

Over a year and a half ago I started the introduction playing it in local game shops while traveling across the country living out of my truck. Something I am still doing.

I released it as a pay what you want on Drive Thru RPG hoping to build interest for the core, novels, and other expansions I have planned. But what is this exactly? What is the introduction?

"Welcome to 2096. A world ravaged by the sun. Filled with raiders, slavers, and corporate kill squads. Life is harsh but there are a few lucky enough who can still enjoy the finer things in life. Unfortunately, you are not one of them. At least not yet.

The introduction is a starting scenario/mini campaign in two parts designed to give you a taste of 2096 and its D12 system.

In part one, "The Steaks are High" (Yes that's correct.) You start out in the small town of Needless picking up a simple job that escalates quickly and becomes much more than you bargained for. You will learn your friends are your greatest allies and stupidity is punished.

Part two takes you across the desert to the city of Darwin. If you make it to the luminescent lined streets prepare to face even harder foes as your choices matter more than ever. Time waits for no one as you make new contacts who hopefully reward you for your troubles. Just remember whatever you do, don't roll a one.

The introduction includes the following printable material. Six pre generated characters, a turn tracker, tokens, and a gridded map. For those looking to create a character from the ground up there is also a printable blank character sheet and links to the player pack. (Still a WIP so don't expect it to be perfect.) The player pack is a free resource as well.

At this time a VTT character sheet is unavailable."

Thats the introduction.

Thus far only 1 out of 50 downloads have paid for it. No one has followed the Kickstarter or done more.
