The 12 Universal Laws
The 12 Universal Laws are considered intrinsic and immutable laws of our universe.

WHAT ARE THE UNIVERSAL LAWS AND THEIR ORIGIN?
The 12 universal laws are considered intrinsic and immutable laws of our universe, which ancient cultures have always intuitively known. The laws are often associated with Ho’oponopono, a meditation for freedom originating from ancient Hawaiian culture. However, some of the laws are also attributed to Hermetic philosophy, which dates back to ancient Egypt.
All laws relate to how we manage life with love and joy.
1. LAW OF DIVINE UNITY
This first law is the most fundamental law of the universe, highlighting the interconnection of all things—with the Whole. It states that beyond our senses, every thought, action, and situation is somehow connected to everything and anything. The Whole is all, and all is the Whole!
2. LAW OF VIBRATION
Everything vibrates. Everything has a frequency! At the microscopic level, everything is in constant motion and vibrating at a specific frequency. This applies to matter, but also to the individual frequency of each of us. This law states that our vibrational frequency can express our experience. (How to raise your vibration? By doing good!)
3. LAW OF CORRESPONDENCE
As above, so below! This law states that patterns repeat throughout the universe, and on a personal level, our reality is a mirror of what is happening within us at any given moment. In other words, as it is within, so it is without.
For example: if our life is chaotic and frightening, it’s because there is chaos and fear within us. If our life seems calm, it’s because we feel inner peace. In any problematic situation, this law suggests questioning what a given situation is showing you about yourself and what requires inner healing. (If you’re feeling bad today, remember your actions in the previous days.)
4. LAW OF ATTRACTION
Without a doubt, the most well-known universal law, the law of attraction is often used for manifestation. Everything we emit, we receive back! If we emit love, we receive love. If we emit anger, we receive anger! A pure law of Physics.
5. LAW OF INSPIRED ACTION
Intimately related to the law of attraction, the law of inspired action deals with taking real steps to invite what we want into our lives. Often, inspiration comes from within: inspired action is an internal impulse, but it’s not always a plan of action. Practicing the law means slowing down, being still, and creating space for internal guidance to occur. When we let go of our need to organize and control how everything will happen and remain open to all possibilities, we make room for new ways to achieve our goals. From Taoist philosophy: Let go! (And everything will resolve itself!)
6. LAW OF PERPETUAL TRANSMUTATION OF ENERGY
Everything is energy and information! This law states that at an energetic level, everything in the universe is in constant evolution or fluctuation. Every action is preceded by a thought, and those very thoughts have the power to eventually manifest in our physical reality. Have you ever been near a negative person and felt your own positivity deplete? This is one example—but it can also work the other way around: higher frequencies transmute lower ones when applied with intention. Knowing this, we can actively seek to elevate the negative energy around us with our thoughts and actions.
7. LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT
This law highlights the direct relationship between actions and events. What often happens is that we may not see the effects immediately, but they will return.
The vibrations and energies we put into things and situations may not manifest at a given moment, but they create a ripple effect and influence the outcomes of events.
8. LAW OF COMPENSATION
The law of compensation is closely linked to the law of attraction and the law of correspondence. “We reap what we sow” is the main motto of this law, which states that all efforts yield positive results. We must always contribute to our goals in a way that attracts (or compensates) love and support.
9. LAW OF RELATIVITY
This law suggests that we tend to compare things in our world, but in reality, everything is neutral. Relativism exists in all things, and ultimately, the meaning of these things boils down to our perspective and perception. Applying this law can help us understand more challenging moments in our lives with greater compassion. The main idea is to value what we have without needing to compare ourselves to others and things. Everything simply is! (Who judges is your ego.)
10. LAW OF POLARITY
This law states that everything in life has an opposite: good and evil, love and fear, hot and cold. The key is to understand that these are two sides of the same coin. In other words, all contrast brings more clarity. Tuning into that opposite can reveal a new perspective or lesson.
11. LAW OF RHYTHM
Cycles are a natural part of the universe. We can think about the seasons on Earth or relative to our lives; we can remember that integration is just as important as growth. We are constantly thinking we have to be the same all the time, whether we think about our health or even productivity, but this is not sustainable. Pay attention to your internal rhythms and try to work with them instead of fighting against them. Are you feeling exhausted? Perhaps it’s better to rest a bit rather than constantly demanding to move forward.
12. LAW OF GENDER
Lastly, the law of gender relates to the masculine and feminine energy that exists in all things. Achieving a balance between masculine and feminine energies can help you live more authentically.
