Chennai: Pooja Hegde's upcoming Tamil film Retro is set to release this year. Pooja Hegde has also danced for a song in the film Coolie alongside Rajinikanth. Speaking to a Telugu media outlet regarding the promotion of Retro, Pooja Hegde opened up about working with Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj and her song in the film Coolie.

Pooja Hegde made her debut in Tamil with the film Mugamudi starring Jiiva, directed by Mysskin. However, her first film was not a success for her. Pooja Hegde, who also starred in the Hindi film Mohenjo Daro starring Hrithik Roshan, did not find success in Bollywood either.

Pooja, who has acted in more than ten films in Telugu, has seen Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu's films become huge hits. After many years in Tamil, Beast, where she acted with Vijay, turned out to be a flop for her.

Series of failures: Actress Pooja Hegde, who has been captivating fans with her beauty, was given a chance to act with big actors as if she had hit the jackpot. However, despite working with leading actors like Ram Charan, Prabhas, Salman Khan and Vijay, all those films turned out to be huge flops and Pooja Hegde was dropped after being signed to a Mahesh Babu film. Pooja Hegde's films, including Radhe Shyam, Acharya, Beast and the Hindi remake of Veeram, were flops.

Big films again: After a year without any films for Pooja Hegde, she is getting big film offers again this year. Pooja Hegde, who starred in the Bollywood film Dev, is next waiting for the release of her film Retro with Suriya on May 1. She has acted in a song in the Rajinikanth starrer Coolie, which is set to release in August. It is also worth noting that after the film Beast, she is again working with Vijay in the film Janyayan.

I will not act by looking at stars: When the interviewer asked how you prepare yourself for acting in many films across India with big superstar actors, Pooja Hegde quickly replied, "I will never prepare by looking at star actors. I will only prepare by looking at the role I have in that film."

Tamannaah's song will not be like this: When asked what your character is in the film Coolie, Pooja Hegde said, "I have danced for only one song in that film. The experience of working with Rajinikanth sir is very special." When asked if it will be like Tamannaah's Kaavaala song, Pooja Hegde said, "No, it will have a completely different vibe and I am sure the fans will enjoy it."
