How to Check SASSA Status?
You can check your SASSA application or payment status using different methods:
1. Online via the SASSA Website
- Visit SASSA website for SRD Status Check
- Click on "Check Status"
- Enter your ID number and cell phone number
- Click Submit, and your status will be displayed
2. Via WhatsApp
- Save the SASSA WhatsApp number: 082 046 8553
- Send a message: “Status”
- Follow the prompts and provide your ID number and registered phone number
3. Using the SASSA Toll-Free Number
- Dial 0800 60 10 11
- Follow the voice instructions and enter your ID number when prompted
4. Through SMS
- If you applied for the SRD grant, you will receive an SMS update about your application
- If no SMS is received, check using other methods
5. Visiting a SASSA Office
- Go to your nearest SASSA office
- Bring your ID document and application details
- Speak to an official to check your status
