Rehearsing Phone Conversations, Leaving A Movie When Lousy
What I like best and least about my life from The Book Of Questions prompts
Gregory Stock’s The Book Of Questions prompts — Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say?
NO. Maybe when I was younger, I might have asked a friend how to say something that would be difficult for me without a big, long story. I am still a storyteller, but I think I am better at a shorter version. Believe it or not.
My husband will say, "Women say something in a page that could be said in a couple sentences." I don't think he means women in general, he rather means me.
Gregory Stock’s The Book Of Questions prompts — If you went to a movie with a friend and it was lousy, would you leave?
If we both agreed it was lousy, we might leave, but we have sat through some lousy movies, expecting them to get better. I used to see a lot of movies, and now it is once every few months, so I probably wouldn't leave, and we spend time before the movie deciding what to see.
Gregory Stock’s The Book Of Questions prompts — What do you like best about your life? Least?
Best - My recovery and the life I get to live, versus what I was living before getting sober, stopping drugs. And having new information about alcoholism in families. My culture is so important to me in both my life and recovery. A relationship with Creator God or Gizheymanidoo.
Least - Politics, the direction the USA is going. Scary time for me and mine. In aging, the loss of friends and family members. Chronic bereavement, trauma, grief, and loss. The fix would be to not love as much.
I don't want to go there, so I will continue to do my grief work and help others to do the same.

Author's note: You don't want to know when I first had sex or all about that experience, right? And about who I would put to death or how, or about what I would do for a million dollars, right? Those are the questions I didn't respond to.
But the answers are a quick 16, no, not choosing whom to die, and not for one hundred million dollars. I haven't done anything for strictly money purposes.

<3 It depends on who I'm calling. I may if it's an important call. I paid to watch a movie, I'm staying to watch it. May complain.
More great insights, Denise. Keep them coming, I must go back and try my hand at some of these.
Oooo, the questions that you don't wanna answer are the ones that I'm most interested in hehehehehe
Just keep on going with these journal entries and you will have a real book for others to read.
Not sure I want to answer all of these, either...although the answers would make a great story!
