My First Story for Vocal Media That Earned me a lot

From Dream to Reality .

By Atta UllahPublished 8 months ago 3 min read

I still remember the day I first heard about Vocal Media. It was a rainy evening, and I was scrolling through my phone, feeling bored and unmotivated. I came across a post in a writing group on Facebook. Someone had shared their success story—how they earned money just by writing online. I was curious. I clicked the link, signed up on Vocal Media, and started exploring.

At that time, I wasn’t confident in my writing. English was not my first language, and I had never written a story for an online platform before. But something inside me said, “Just try. What’s the worst that can happen?” So, I opened a blank page and started writing.

I decided to write something personal. I thought, “People love real stories. They connect more when you share your truth.” So I wrote about a simple incident from my life—how I overcame a hard time by believing in myself. I titled it “The Day I Chose Myself”.

The words flowed naturally. I didn’t use big or difficult words. I just wrote from the heart. I described how I had once lost hope, how I felt like giving up, and how a small moment—hearing a kind word from a stranger—changed everything for me. I wanted readers to feel inspired. I wanted them to know that even a small step can lead to big changes.

After writing, I edited it a little. I checked for spelling and grammar mistakes. Then I hit “Publish.” My heart was racing. What if nobody read it? What if they didn’t like it?

But something amazing happened

Within a day, my story started getting views. Then, comments. People were saying things like, “This touched my heart,” and “I needed to hear this today.” I was shocked—and happy. It felt so good to know that my words made a difference.

And then came the best part: Vocal Media sent me an email. I had earned money from my story! It wasn’t a huge amount at first, but it was more than I ever expected. I didn’t even know that one story could earn that much.

That moment changed everything for me.

I started believing in my writing. I realized that I didn’t need to be a professional author to touch people’s hearts. I just needed to be honest, simple, and real.

From that day on, I started writing more often. I shared personal stories, small lessons from life, and even short fictional tales. But that first story—“The Day I Chose Myself”—remained special. It opened the door for me. It showed me that my words had value.

The money I earned from that story helped me in a small but meaningful way. I bought books to improve my writing. I even treated myself to a nice meal and told myself, “You did this. You earned this.”

More than the money, the experience gave me confidence. It gave me a purpose. I was no longer just a reader of other people’s stories—I was a writer too. And Vocal Media gave me that chance.

If you’re someone who dreams of writing but feels unsure, I want to tell you: start now. Don’t wait for the perfect idea or perfect words. Write what you feel. Write what you know. People will feel the honesty in your story.

Sometimes, the simplest stories touch the deepest hearts. Mine did.

And who knows? Maybe your first story will be the one that earns you a lot—not just in money, but in joy, confidence, and connection.

Vocal Media is not just a platform. For me, it became a starting point, a push in the right direction. And I will always be thankful for that rainy evening when I found it.
