My book is out, what now?

Trying to get your book out into the world has to be one of the most challenging things I have come across. Honestly, I thought everything would be easy after my book was published. Being a writer is the easiest part when it comes to coming up with a story, typing it, doing the research yourself, and then just sending it off to the publicist.

Then, you might want to turn it into a picture book, so you need to find an artist. This step can be somewhat tricky at first, but it gets easier as you communicate with the artist to ensure the work meets your expectations. And then, finally, your little bundle of joy (your book, of course) is right there in your hands. You're looking at it like it's a beautiful piece of art. That costs you almost $1000, but it's worth every penny. That's how much

I paid for my Yaoi manga, "Two shakes of a tail." It took me 4 years because I wrote the manuscript in 2019. So, yes, I had other payments, such as my car payments, my credit card payments, and regular bills for gas and light. And let's not forget groceries, because we all know food isn't cheap, especially coffee! Or as many know it, 'liquid gold'!

It was challenging trying to get the book finally out with all that money, and then I seriously thought getting it out to the world was going to be much easier.

Like I said before, I was dead wrong. I'm just going to come right out and say it! I don't have a damn clue what it is I'm doing I need a freaking bookmarketer because I don't know how to make posts I don't know how to make ads audience I mean you see them a lot on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok.

I mean it looks so easy to make but either I'm doing something wrong or I'm just not reaching the correct I ask around. I guess I'm just not able to process it so maybe I should just use an AI platform to help me out because right now money is tight especially since I have a three-year-old and we all know that uh having a baby is a costly yet precious individual, who I love with all my heart and soul.

Have I made any ads or any posts to promoting my book? Yeah of course, I have! But I only just get people that say congratulations which I'm thankful for and then some try to offer their services which I would be more than happy to accept. Still, I don't have the money especially when you don't even know if these people are actually wanting to help you or they just want to try and get your information. I had one individual who name I will not say.

Still, I was that person was annoying, I felt like they were stalking me it got to the point to where I had to snap at them tell them that they were pushy, and just block them I understand the person wanted to try and help me market my book, but still, there are times when being nice is not enough, and you have to literally snap and tell them to leave, even if they're on the other side of the world and the only way you're communicating is through Facebook Messenger.

I know I have a long way to go. I have a lot of research to do, especially with a short amount of time, when I'm not having to watch my daughter. No joke, as soon as I'm done cleaning my house, it goes from squeaky clean to "who the hell robbed us?" I know my daughter doesn't mean any ill will. Still, she needs to understand that when you make a mess, you need to clean it up because the maids only come once every two weeks. Literally, I have hired some maids, because I can't keep the house clean all by myself.
