Love

Adam had been in love with Sarah since they first met in college and while the relationship had been loving and strong, they had gone down quite different paths since then. Adam had chosen a career of public service, working to make a difference in people's lives while Sarah had chosen to pursue a highly successful corporate career. Although they were still in contact on the odd occasion, they had slowly grown apart over the years.

But it wasn't until Sarah's death that Adam realized just how much he had loved her.

He remembered the last time he had seen her – their fond farewell at the airport. She had given him a hug and a kiss, telling him that she was going to miss him. He had done the same in return and had gone on his journey, not expecting to never see her again.

The news of her death had been sudden and unexpected, and Adam had been hit with a wave of grief that he had never expected. He had known that the two of them could never have stayed together, but also knew that his life wouldn't be the same without her in it.

Adam had no choice but to accept the love and loss he felt, and moved on with his life. He kept Sarah in his thoughts every day, making sure to also remember all of the good times they had shared.

He felt her absence deeply, but over time he was able to come to terms with it and eventually heal. He had found a new path without Sarah that was full of meaning and purpose and that gave him a newfound peace and joy.

He knew that he would never forget her, but he was also able to find happiness again, knowing that Sarah had been a major part of his life, and something that could never be taken away from him.
