Life's Struggles and Kindness

Are We Forgetting Our Humanity?

By Jassila Published about a year ago 1 min read

Ever feel like you're constantly juggling the weight of the world, while others around you seem to be tossing more balls your way?

It's like everyone expects you to be this unstoppable force, never faltering, never tiring. But hey, newsflash: even superheroes need a break sometimes!

I've been pondering over this lately, watching the chaos unfold around me and feeling the silent struggles of those I care about.

It's like a silent symphony of sighs, masked behind smiles and brave faces.

But you know what they say about eyes—they're the windows to the soul. And let me tell you, I've seen my fair share of silent tears in those windows.

It's ironic, isn't it? We preach kindness and empathy, yet somehow, in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, we forget to extend that same courtesy to ourselves and those around us.

We push and prod until we're running on fumes, forgetting that exhaustion is not a badge of honor but a cry for help.

But fear not, weary souls, for amidst the chaos and cacophony, there is solace to be found. It starts with a simple act of kindness—to ourselves.

Yes, you heard me right. It's time to cut ourselves some slack, to recognize that it's okay to hit pause and take a breather.

So, my fellow wanderers, I leave you with this question: In a world that often feels like it's spinning out of control, are we forgetting the most basic tenets of our humanity—kindness, empathy, and self-care?

Let's ponder that as we navigate the twists and turns of this crazy journey called life.

And remember, when the weight of the world becomes too much to bear, I'll be here, ready to lend an ear and share the burden.

After all, isn't that what being human is all about?
