In the Sunday final, world No. 1 Iga Świątek defeated ninth seed Maria Sakkari 6-4 6-0 to win her second Indian Wells championship of her career.
After winning the Qatar Open in February, the Polish superstar won her second WTA 1000 championship of the year without dropping a set and only losing 21 games overall.
After being shocked by Linda Noskova in the third round of the Australian Open, Świątek has now won six straight WTA finals, raising her career record to 19-4.
