I love you, yet I fear you.
You want me, though you resist me.

I love you, yet I fear you.
I want you, yet I resist you.
You love me, though you fear me.
You want me, though you resist me.
Floating into the abyss of broken hearts and souls, tangled in our invisible pains.
We are all searching for the same thing.
We want to give love, yet we fear it.
We want to be loved, yet we resist it.
A foolish game that only ends with bitter tears and memories.
Lost in his gaze, mesmerized by the sound of his heartbeat and his smell, I fear how strongly I am falling for him.
With every glance, my world blurs a little more until all that is left is the two of us.
The kind of love I never expected to find was the kind of love I had always feared.
I knew that a feeling so strong could only result in an even bigger heartbreak.
My fragility could not condone this happening.
That would be the very last bit of my heart.
Yet I could not resist you.
In a world so cold, all I long for is something real and pure.
But everything gets tainted the longer it resides.
Nothing stays beautiful forever.
Even the petals fall from the flowers and shrivel up from the lack of care.
So I learn to love with fear, and I resist what is true,
Already rueing the day, I'll have to watch you walk away.
