I Got a New Laptop!

About a month or so ago, I mentioned in a story about how I was in need of a new laptop as my current one was out of date and running far too slow for my liking and patience. The battery wouldn’t even hold a charge anymore.

I also mentioned my ideal laptop and the must haves as well as some nice to have features that I was looking for.

Well the wait for a new laptop is finally over! After putting it off mainly for financial reasons and not really sure what I wanted to invest in, I got myself a new laptop for Black Friday! Good things come to those who wait as they say.

The laptop I decided on?

A Lenovo 15.6" Chromebook.

Imagine. Not having to worry about it instantly dying because I accidentally knocked the cord out of the port or outlet.

Imagine not being limited to sitting by an available outlet and being able to sit anywhere with it. On the couch. On the bed. Outside on the porch on a nice day.

And no more ridiculous 10 minute start up times!

I don’t know how to act now! It’s going to take me a while to get used to this!

And it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.

When I ordered my laptop, I made sure to order a laptop case for it. The laptop case came first which worked out perfect because when my new laptop would come, the case would already be ready for it.

I’ve heard so many good reviews on Lenovo laptops and have spent some time looking into the reviews of several laptops I found on Amazon during the week of Black Friday.

Meeting my needs

My new Lenovo Chromebook meets the needs I've been looking for.

More compact and transportable

This laptop is a little yet noticeably smaller than my previous laptop. It's also noticeably lighter too. An easily portable laptop was just what I was looking for.

Is ideal for tasks like writing, designing, and web browsing

This laptop definitely fits the needs of a writer. It even has Google Gemini included. I've used it to experiment and brainstorm different writing prompt and story ideas.

I'll also be using Canva more now that I have a faster loading laptop with a more vivid screen. There are also some features on Canva that I know I'm not taking advantage of.

When you are looking into any major item purchase, it is essential that you take the time and effort to research the product and make sure it’s high quality, long lasting, and meets your needs.

As with any new technology upgrade, there are still some things to get used to.

The layout is obviously different from my previous laptop which was an HP running on Windows. It was a great laptop and served its purpose. I really can't complain. It's not like I didn't get my use out of it. I used it to write. Alot!

It’s barely been a week since I started using my new laptop and there are still plenty of features I haven’t used or aren’t even aware of yet. Like many do, I still need to make my new laptop my own by customizing it with fun decals that reflect my personality and creativity.

I can open my laptop, and get right into my writing and sharing my stories. The only waiting I have to do is waiting for an idea or the right words.

With a new laptop, I am feeling inspired more than ever to write. Happy days are here again!
