"Http Error 404 not found! Or Error 404" - What does this signal mean?

Error 404 can have many causes. For example, the topic you tried to find might not exist. Or there is a mistake in the URL or website address you provided, or the URL was generated incorrectly. Many people may wonder why the 404 number is used for this. Another number should be used to indicate the error, why 404?
