I remember when I would greet and meet you with a smile.
I remember when I would call you when I didn't hear from you in a while
I remember I never had a negative thing to say about you
I remember when I would empower and uplift you
Why did that change and why dont feel the same way?
I allowed negative people to talk about you in a negative way and led me astray
Its time to wake up and shake off the negative vibes
Time to be myself and be the rebel with that sense of humor, witty, and wise
Never let that negative charge dim your light
Always be the person to lead the darkness to shining bright
I'll never allow people to deter who I am
Ive never had so why start now to be someones number one person
Get my act right and I'll always be
That uplifting friend even though you are not a friend to me
Friends come and friends go and Ill wish you well with warm warefare
Maybe next time if we see one another we'll have great memories to share
Never let your light dim for others even though they change
Just keep that empowerment going and always don't change and stay in your own unique lane.
It's good to know that a person can be themselves and not allow others to deter you from liking a human for whom they are without listening to others opinion, no matter if their opinion is negative or positive. Stay genuine.
