First Half of 2025 on Vocal: By The Numbers

Just follow the stats, y'all!

By Mark Wesley Pritchard Published 7 months ago 3 min read

Greetings, Vocal subscribers and readers!

The first half of 2025 has come to a close and we're eager to see what the final half of this year has in store for us. In this story, I'll be sharing a few statistics related to my progress as a creator on Vocal. It was a productive first half for me and had so much to talk about. Now, let's this show on the road!

68

At the end of 2024, I made a goal of writing 50 stories in 2025. Fast forward to now, I greatly surpassed and exceeded that achievement, something I thought would never be possible. The bigger question is will I close out the year at 100 stories? It's a possibility and if it were to happen, that would be a new record for me on Vocal. It might be a longshot, but not impossible either.

47

This was the number of subscribers I've gained. Since I started writing stories on Vocal in early 2018, my subscriber count was in the single digits. My last Top Story was chosen among many of them for the month of May. I believed that story played a huge factor in my subscriber count to greatly increase. I'm close to 50 subscribers and aiming for that number to reach even higher. Achieving 100 subscribers on Vocal would be nice, but I'm unsure if it'll come true before the year is over. I'm going to attempt to reach that milestone in 2026, so if you love my stories, please subscribe to my page on here and help me get there.

300

Back in May, I wrote and published my 300th story on Vocal. I've come a long way and very proud of what I've accomplished so far. To mark this incredible milestone, I wrote a story about one of the hobbies men love the most: video games and the reasons why we love them so much. The link to the full story is down below and it's worth the read.

If a story that you write and publish on Vocal attracts readers, subscribers, and the Vocal Team, chances are you'll receive a star icon found on your story and when you click on your story. That indicates that your story has been chosen as a Top Story among others for the month you wrote it. Also, you might receive a one-off tip from an anonymous reader. The option to reward a creator like me on Vocal with a one-off tip is found at the end of every story. It's a kind gesture from someone as a way to show how much they appreciate your work. In the first half of 2025, I had two Top Story highlights that the Vocal Team found attention grabbing to them. My goal is to have at least two or three more top stories before the end of the year. I'll provide links to both of my top stories that the Vocal Team have chosen.

For the second half of 2025 on Vocal, I'll be discussing more topics such as celebrating 40 years of one of the best movies of all time, how have my MLB predictions for the first half of the season fared so far, and my experiences attending Northwest Arkansas Naturals games. We're going to finish 2025 on a high note and I hope the same for you.

Let me know in the comments which stories of mine did you enjoy reading the most. Be sure to like this story if you enjoyed it. Follow me on social media, subscribe to my page, and please send me a one-off tip at the end of the story. No tip is ever too big or small. They support creators like me and encourage us to write and publish more stories.
