Enduring the Wilderness: A Tale of Survival and Strength
A Metaphor for Human Resilience in the Face of Adversity
By Abraham zelekePublished about a year ago • 1 min read

A fatherless cub with its mother by its side,
Nothing but the wilderness to shelter their pride,
One day, the king of the skies, an eagle, took aim,
I saw the lioness standing at the cave’s entrance,
Strength, courage, and resolve flickered in her eyes,
Her gaze was fierce, sharp, and unyielding,
She counted silently, in her own way, 1, 2, 3,
At that moment, her world was only her cub,
Suddenly, she pulled her young close with a swift paw,
The eagle rushed in, but would not leave unscarred,
Roared the lioness, "Stay within the pride’s bounds until you’re strong!"
