Downsized: A World Divided

Giantess and Tinies, The Kill room

By Pranesh Bala Murugan MPublished 2 years ago 2 min read

Iswarya, a seasoned journalist at 27, strolled through the market on a typical Friday evening, gathering vegetables for the weekend. Suddenly, a brilliant spark streaked through the sky. In the blink of an eye, she realized two things: first, only women and girls surrounded her, and second, all the men and boys had shrunk to miniature sizes.

Panic froze Iswarya in place. Tiny figures scurried around her feet, some tragically crushed by oblivious women. Though cautious, she couldn't avoid stepping on a few boys as she hurried toward her car.

Reaching the vehicle, she was met with a horrifying sight: millions of miniature men swarmed the road in front of her. Unsure of what to do, she drove on, the sickening crunch of tires grinding against tiny bodies filling the air.

Safe but heartbroken at the carnage clinging to her car - blood and crushed body parts - Iswarya retreated to her room. Guilt gnawed at her. Thousands of tiny lives were lost at her hands alone, and countless more by others. The thought of her father, brothers, and male friends shrunk and potentially in danger was unbearable.

Grief turned to a chilling determination. While trapped in this unsettling reality, Iswarya decided to take action. She rallied other women, proposing a solution that sent shivers down spines: the "kill room." This macabre chamber would hold tiny men who, in their normal size, had committed heinous crimes like rape, terrorism, and murder. These miniature felons would face a horrifying fate: a barefoot girl tasked with crushing as many as possible with her left toe within a limited timeframe. It was a twisted game meant to entertain and eliminate a specific group of men.

The "kill room" saw the deaths of countless tiny criminals at the hands of girls and women from all walks of life. Some objected, citing human rights concerns, but with no laws applicable to the miniature men, the gruesome practice continued.

Then, as abruptly as it began, the phenomenon reversed. Men returned to their normal size. However, their numbers were vastly diminished due to the accidental and targeted killings. While the criminal population had been drastically reduced, the world was left with a gaping hole, a stark reminder of the chaotic and violent period.
