“Cute as a button,” my mother would agree, except on this day.
I was four years old. At that age, I didn’t have a plan, but lots of determination. I just wanted to watch my father play tennis. I knew the way because I had walked there with my mother many times.
On this day, I was going by myself. I took off to walk the mile or so. Didn't make it because my mother had called the police – lost child, (not so cute now!).
I did get to ride in the police car, though; what an exciting day!
Till next time,

Bless him bet that ride in the police car was amazing for him ♦️♦️♦️♦️
part I loved the best: the determination of a very smart four year old boy and all the fun he had on that one day! So glad you had a quick-thinking mom and the outcome was just a chuckle, though :)
Oh, I can just imagine how scared your mother was!! Naughty, naughty!! I had a son just like that. He was so independent always that it got him in trouble with me more than once.❤️
🤣🤣 The adventure was complete with a police car ride back home. Very cute, indeed!
🤣🤣 Super cute take of your toddler times! Did you get in trouble at home?
This is sweet memory!
Awe, cuteness overload. A dad who played tennis. The little you going off on your own. Only to cruise in the back of a vehicle, belonging to... Maybe your second hero... Although you wrote this in the voice of the age you are now, I could feel the little you in it, still. Beautiful memory, and a funny turn out. But cute and engaging 🤗
You were very independent! A police car ride is every little boys dream. What a great day 😀
