Considering The Situation V

Introduction

This is just a public service announcement about the situation since I was unable to publish on the 23rd of November 2025. I am publishing this on the backup account for the reasons that I will lay out below.

Where I Am At

After I stopped my subscription on my main account last week, Vocal finally acknowledged that there was a fault in their system, stopping me from publishing and offered me a year's free V+ as recompense, which I accepted.

The situation is I still can't comment using this account, and I still cannot publish anything new using the main account here and there is no sign of that being rectified.:

They sent an email saying they had done an update that should fix my situation and to contact them if I was still having issues. I told them it hadn't worked. They then sent a satisfaction email, but no response to my situation.

I came up with the idea of recycling previously published stories for new work on the main account, and while I am happy to do that, it comes with another issue.

Because it has been previously published, it is not eligible to be a Top Story or considered for a challenge. I am sure that Vocal will deny that, but I have had nothing but reads on my main account since October.

It is also getting harder to find stories to recycle, as you can only reset stories to draft from your published stories list. We should be able to reset a story to draft in the story itself, so I may have missed that.

I have also lost a lot of Vocal member readers who used to comment, although my daily reads are now healthy, but I don't know who is reading them.
