At the Beginning

There is no better way to begin than to begin. I joined VocalMedia four years ago. For whatever reason, I did no more than that. I didn’t even read, preferring to return to the nests I’d made at Medium and at Substack. As time went on, I wanted more than what I was getting from those two publishing platforms. More morphed into an author’s website at PaulineEvanosky.com and to a revamping of a website I’d had since 2001 on the Blogger platform called TalkingtoSpirit.com. The reason for the shift for that site from a BlueHost website package to the Blogger platform was money. I’d gotten a bill for $735 from BlueHost and said, “That is too darn expensive.” Lo and behold, being on Blogger again, which was free, meant I needed to publish more often. And so, a maniac writer emerged from the shadows.

That mania is enough that I can spread it out some to include VocalMedia. Something that interests me is that it looks like subscriptions can be lower than what folks tend to offer at Substack (to date, mine are all free). Medium stopped paying its writers more than bupkis long ago. So, who knows? Maybe something will result from my writing at Vocal Media. The companionship and camaraderie of other writers is always, I think, the most important.

I still need to get a better feeling for what everyone is writing about. It looks like there are tons of fun challenges to participate in.

What I write are motivational pieces aimed at folk who might be feeling a bit down. I write articles about what life is like as a psychic channel (since 1993), about being an old, retired lady (nobody told me your nose hairs were going to do that!), and about teaching folks about the psychic stuff they are not aware of. It’s pretty amazing. We are all born psychic. We just forget along the way. There is a way to awaken all that, and speaking as an old lady, it’s lots of fun.

So, just an introductory piece. I had intended to join VocalMedia this morning. It turned out I signed up four years ago.
