
I use chatGPT (and sometimes Gemini) to create the images to accompany my pieces. It’s not a cop out—it’s work. I painstakingly give my prompts, drawing on my knowledge of Art history, mentioning specific artists and paintings for references, clearly explaining the aesthetics and techniques I want employed, and sometimes it works beautifully, and I get images that work well with my pieces. Sometimes it happens in the first draft, like this:

Other times, things like this happen, and I spend the bulk of my day arguing with a robot:

I’m learning as I go, and , allegedly, so are the bots. I look forward to the day that I can be more successful and achieve what I want in fewer drafts.
