When you're feeling down, cry, feel free to be sad. Even if you can't get out of bed, that's okay—really, it’s fine.

Don't push yourself to ignore what you're feeling. Allah gave us these emotions for a reason—they simply align with certain moments in life. At first, your feelings might feel too much and overwhelming. After a while, they’ll settle down and find their balance again.

Trying to skip this step or push your feelings away will only make things harder and might even lead to feeling worse. You can't always control how you feel, but you can try to control your thoughts—they’re often the spark behind those emotions.

Thoughts provoke feelings.

And if you're too tired to even control your thoughts, that's okay too. Sometimes, all you need to do is pause. Quiet your mind. Don’t let those thoughts run wild when you're already feeling fragile. Take a step back, stop overthinking, and give yourself the time you need to heal and rise again.

Even if it feels like you're about to fall into a deep hole, pause. Don’t overthink. Let your mind rest for now.

You're not alone in this. We've all been there.

To my dear friend who’s feeling overwhelmed right now:

I see you. I know it’s tough, and I want you to know you don’t have to face this on your own. You don’t need to figure everything out today, or tomorrow, or even next week.

Take it slow. Feel what you need to feel—it’s okay. Hard feelings don’t last forever, even if it feels like they will.

You’re so much stronger than you realize, and I believe in you. Whatever happens, I’m here—always.

Don't forget, you’ll find your light again.

With love,
