My latest sojourn to this bewitching place left me stunned as I relished in its deep culture, great architecture, and cordiality. Arrival in Baku: A Warm Welcome

When I landed in Baku International Airport, my heart was warming up with that excitement. Arriving at such a modern place with all this infrastructure and excellent transportation system would make anyone a stress-free arrival as it did me. As the city streets showed the glowing lights of Flame Towers, I welcomed the adventure.

Gobustan National Park: This took me less than an hour by road from Baku to reach the Gobustan National Park, which happens to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site for ancient petroglyphs. Moving around in such rock carvings some thousands of years old would be quite the experience as taking a journey into the past in a time machine. Then there are these mud volcanoes nearby.

Fire Temple and Burning Mountain: Azerbaijan is known as the Land of Fire, and my visit to the Ateshgah Fire Temple and Yanar Dag (Burning Mountain) explained why.
