The new S-Class / new GLA lead

Mercedes-Benz has officially announced its new car lineup for the Shanghai Auto Show. The new S-Class, new GLA, and new E-Class Coupe will be officially unveiled at this year's Auto Show, while the new Babs smart will also be launched at this year's Auto Show as a tailor-made exclusive custom model.

Mercedes-Benz new S-Class

According to the previous spy photos, the changes to the front of the mid-cycle Mercedes-Benz S-Class are mainly focused on the front grille and the headlight cluster. At the same time, the new shape of the LED daytime running lights and headlights structure makes the new S-Class look more technological sense. In addition, the new S-Class is expected to adopt the latest MULTIBEAM LED headlight system equipped with the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which is expected to further enhance the function.

From the rear of the car, the new S-Class taillight style has not changed, but the interior of the lights or use the new E-Class taillight technology, we suspect that the LED strip plus the internal angle of different reflectors will make the new car taillight light up a star-like visual effect. In addition, the style of the new exhaust tailpipe has also been adjusted.

From the official pictures released earlier, the interior design of the new S-Class has not changed much. The new car will adopt a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel similar to that of the new E-Class, and add the Dual Thumb Controls system. At the same time, the car has also been upgraded to the driver assistance system.

According to previous news, the S 400 model will be equipped with a new inline 6-cylinder engine, of which the gasoline version of the inline 6-cylinder engine (codenamed M256) is paired with a 48V electrical system with a maximum power of 408 hp and peak torque of 500 NM; the S 500 model will be equipped with a new M176 V8 engine to replace the current model's M278 V8 engine, with a maximum power of 477 hp and a peak torque of 500 NM. The maximum power will be increased to 477 hp and the peak torque to 700 NM.

Mercedes-Benz new GLA

The new Mercedes-Benz GLA was officially launched at the 2017 North American Auto Show. The most obvious change to the new GLA is the front grille, which adopts a design language similar to that of the Mercedes-Benz GLC class. At the same time, the new car also adopts a new exterior package, and the rear bumper part adopts a new shape. In addition, the new taillights have a full LED light source inside and the structural layout has been changed.

The interior of the new car also does not stop there. The traditional walnut wood veneer on the center console is replaced by a new frosted black textured wood grain veneer, which looks like a mature charm with the new Canyon Gold paint. The center of center console is also equipped with an 8-inch floating display, which has a certain visual effect compared to the current model.

In terms of power, the new GLA 200 model is expected to be equipped with a 1.6T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 156 hp; while the new GLA 220 model is equipped with a low-power version of the 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 184 hp; the GLA 260 is equipped with a high-power version of the 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 211 hp. The GLA 220 and GLA 260 are also equipped with a four-wheel drive system.

The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe

The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe made its world debut at the 2017 North American Auto Show. The front of the new car is the same as that of the three-door E-Class sedan, with a large Mercedes-Benz logo and a star-like front face, which looks extra sporty. At the same time, the new car's length, width, and height are 4826/1860/1430 mm, with a wheelbase of 2873 mm.

The new tail light cluster adopts the exclusive Mercedes-Benz sporty car strip shape, with an LED light source inside and a star effect. As a coupe model, the car's body shape is very streamlined, while the double-door bezel-less design and bilateral exhaust layout make the car a full sense of movement.

The interior design of the new car is the same as that of the E-Class, but the design of the air vents has been optimized to look more refined and futuristic. The dashboard and the central LCD are both designed with LED LCD screens, with a full sense of technology.

In terms of power, the new E-Class Coupe will be available in E 200, E 300, and E 400 4MATIC, a total of three petrol models. The E 200 model uses a low-powered 2.0T turbocharged gasoline engine with a maximum power of 184 hp and a peak torque of 300 NM; the E 300 is equipped with a high-powered version of the 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 245 hp and a peak torque of 370 NM, and the E 400 4MATIC is equipped with a 3.0T V6 engine with a maximum power of 333 horsepower and 480 NM of peak torque. In terms of transmission, the new cars all use the latest Mercedes-Benz 9-speed automatic transmission.
