Today in India, the all-new BMW M 1000 RR was officially launched. This high-performance motorcycle, available as completely built-up units (CBU), can now be pre-ordered at all authorized dealerships of BMW Motorrad India. Deliveries for the pre-ordered bikes will commence in November 2023.

The BMW M 1000 RR boasts a design that exudes a sense of victory. Its lightweight fairing, intricately crafted using visible carbon fiber and adorned with M Design tapes, showcases its racing DNA. The centerpiece of the motorcycle is its aluminum bridge frame, complemented by an upside-down fork and central suspension strut with Full Floater Pro kinematics. Remarkable advancements in aerodynamics have significantly enhanced the performance of the new M RR. Additionally, the new fairing now integrates protection for the M engine covers. The front indicator lights are easily accessible, allowing for quick dismantling and making the M RR ready for track use. The M Winglets on the front fairing generate increased aerodynamic downforce, enhancing stability both in straight-line riding and when cornering. The M Carbon wheels, featuring a new clear lacquer coat, accentuate the high-quality, deep black carbon fiber structure. Alternatively, forged wheels can also be ordered with the new M RR. The brake ducts are finely integrated into the redesigned front mudguards. Further, optimizing the airflow near the fork legs and brake calipers.

Under the sleek exterior, the new M RR is equipped with a water-cooled inline 4-cylinder engine, purposefully designed for racing. With a displacement of 999 cc, it delivers a peak output of 212 hp (156 kW) at 14,500 rpm, accompanied by a maximum torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, the M RR achieves a top speed of 314 km/h.

The engine highlights include lightweight 2-ring forged pistons with optimized piston rings, narrow and lightweight cam followers, fully CNC-machined intake ports, and BMW ShiftCam technology for variable valve timing and lift. Titanium valves, optimized camshafts, and longer titanium connecting rods further contribute to reduced friction power and lower weight. The intake system attributes shorter funnels improving the charge exchange when the engine is at high speeds.

The new BMW M 1000 RR is equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display instrument cluster, ensuring excellent readability. Further, a start-up welcome animation with the M logo and an OBD interface for M GPS Datalogger and Laptrigger. Moreover, the M 1000 RR offers a lightweight M battery, powerful LED light units, a rear USB charging socket, heated grips, and electronic cruise control.

The M RR provides various riding modes, comprising Road, Rain, Race,Race Pro1-3 and Dynamic. The latest generation of Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and DTC wheelie function, coupled with a 6-axis sensor box, enables riders to customize throttle response, engine brake, traction control, wheelie control, ABS, and ABS Pro to suit their skill level and riding style. The "Pro Modes" also introduce features like Launch Control and a pit-lane limiter for precise race starts and controlled speeds in the pit lane.

Accentuating its high-grade, high-tech appearance, the M RR features new M design tapes on the rims, emphasizing its racing pedigree. The rear section has been redesigned, incorporating a hump cover to enhance the motorcycle's lightweight, sporty, and dynamic look. Other new features include a shortened number plate holder, ergonomically designed M Endurance seat, and integrated indicator and number plate lights. The brake and tail lights are integrated into the side indicator lights, while the modified wiring harness with an LWS connector enables quicker and easier disassembly.

For enthusiasts seeking a refined racing experience, the M Competition Package is available for the new BMW M 1000 RR. This package offers a captivating combination of sophisticated components catering to both racing technology connoisseurs and riders with an eye for aesthetics. The M Competition package includes the M GPS Laptrigger software, M milled parts package, M Carbon package, a natural-colored anodized swinging arm that is 220 g lighter, a DLC-coated M Endurance chain, and a pillion package with a hump cover. The M milled parts package comprises high-strength aluminum brake and clutch levers, a weight-optimized rider footrest system, and a brake lever guard. The M Carbon package encompasses high-quality visible carbon covers for the rear wheel, clear-coated drive sprocket, chain guard, and side and tank panels on both sides. The M RR M Competition also includes M Aero Wheel Covers.
