In addition, the car also features a giant double-kidney front face, officially known as the "Ring Light Grille", which is highly recognizable when lit up. When the customer approaches the car, the ring grille, BMW crystal daytime running lights, and the ink rhythm welcome light carpet, as well as the interior light and shadow elements, light up in turn.
The new car's sides are more simple and tougher than the old model, with the front end showing an upward stance and the waistline extending from the high, full front end to the rear, creating a sporty and elegant stance. The classic Höglund's corner plating has been moved to the C-pillar, and a matrix geometry pattern has been added to the rear window, making the interior more spacious and bright, while also ensuring the privacy of rear passengers. The i7 will also feature the same classic blue elements as the i-series family, including the lower side of the air intakes, side skirts, and rear deflectors. The designers have also made a new interpretation of the rear of the new generation 7 Series, with the previous generation's through-layout replaced by two independent 3D three-dimensional, suspended LED taillights, reminiscent of the 2 Series Coupe and X4, etc. The taillights also have a matrix geometric dark pattern embedded on both sides, echoing the rear door windows.
The fuel version unveiled this time is the 740Li, which has an exclusive M Sport package and a more mysterious and profound front shape, and differs from the purely electric i7 in many details such as the front and rear surrounds and wheel shapes.
In terms of the interior, the new generation 7 Series will also have several eye-catching innovative designs. The integrated suspended curved screen integrates the 12.3-inch instrument panel with the 14.9-inch touch screen and features the new BMW iDrive and BMW OS 8.0. Inspired by BMW's classic angel-eye headlights, six new Smart Personal Assistant expressions are available. In addition, the new BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant supports front and rear wake-up and adds up to 20 new functions, including opening and closing doors, activating designated seat massages, and more.
The interior of the new generation 7 Series is made of more sophisticated materials and is also infused with "Shy Tech" invisible technology, which hides the touch buttons in a light belt that runs through the entire front dashboard and doors, and the hidden air vents on the dashboard are integrated with them, so the number of physical buttons is significantly reduced. In addition, the ambient lighting, dynamic aesthetic art, and functional buttons are integrated into the ambient light belt, making the cabin more modern, luxurious, and futuristic.
In terms of interior materials, the new car is available for the first time in a leather/cashmere combination, a soft and luxurious natural material that, together with the pearl crystal interior components, perforated wood trim, and metallic speaker covers, creates a classy and elegant cabin atmosphere. If that's not enough, customers can also choose to personalize the BMW Merino Extended Leather.
In addition, the new generation 7 Series is equipped with the automatic door opening and closing, which allows customers to open the doors via buttons, voice, the My BMW APP, the center console, and the key. The new car is equipped with advanced four-zone automatic air conditioning with a nano-level air purification system as standard. For the distinguished rear passengers, the new 7 Series has upgraded the first-class seats with a maximum back adjustment of 42.5° and integrated leg rests. The most eye-catching feature of the car is that BMW has equipped the rear row with a suspended giant screen, which is a 31-inch ultra-wide panoramic display with a resolution of up to 8K. At the same time, BMW has introduced the local bio-streaming application Aiki and Huawei App Store, tailoring the ecology of the new generation of the rear entertainment system for Chinese customers.
In addition, rear passengers can switch to the "Cinema Mode" via the 5.5-inch armrest touch screen on the door panel. As for the powertrain, the BMW i7 is equipped with the fifth-generation BMW eDrive electric drive system, which will have a range of more than 600 kilometers. Among them, the twin motors release a maximum output of 400 kW (544 hp), accelerating from zero to 100 km in 4.7 seconds and consuming a minimum of 18.4 kWh per 100 km (*the above data are European statistics, Chinese model data is based on the data published by the market). The fuel version of the new generation 7 Series is equipped with a 48 V light-hybrid system, which not only significantly improves fuel economy, but also further optimizes power output.
