At the 2022 New York Auto Show, the Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica was officially unveiled with a new exterior design, optimized aerodynamic efficiency, and weight reduction of the vehicle. It will be powered by the same naturally aspirated V10 engine as the STO model, with a maximum power of 640 hp and rear-wheel drive.

In terms of the exterior, the front of the new car draws on the design concept of the Sián, Lamborghini's first hybrid model, and incorporates a trident-style design into the front of the Huracán, creating a highly combative visual effect. In addition, the aerodynamic design of the front surround has been re-optimized to better direct airflow from the windward side to the rear of the car, thereby increasing downforce on the front axle. In addition, the new car will be available in eight different exterior paint finishes.

Compared to the Huracán EV0 RWD model, the Huracán Tecnica is 47 mm longer, reaching 4567 mm in height and width. The length of the Huracán Tecnica has increased by 47 mm compared to the Huracán EV0 RWD model, reaching 4567 mm, while the height and width remain unchanged, but the rear wheelbase has increased by 4 mm, reaching 1624 mm.

It is worth noting that compared to the other model versions of the Huracán, to have a smoother roofline, the new car has subtle changes to the shape of the air intakes in the rear part of the body, optimizing the lines to make it look smoother and, in terms of visual effect, making the new car look more slender, highlighting the classic Lamborghini wedge-shaped body shape. In addition, the new car is equipped with six-hole honeycomb-style 20-inch wheels that showcase the Lamborghini hexagonal aesthetic.

At the rear, the new car gets a new rear hatch, made of a piece of glass and lightweight carbon fiber, and a new cooling opening in the hatch that allows the heat to be taken out of the cabin. The new car also restores the Gallardo model's cliff-like rear window glass design, while the bilateral two-exit exhaust tips are also in hexagonal style, allowing all the classic elements of the brand to be shown one by one.

It is also worth mentioning that the aerodynamic design of the rear has been redesigned, with a new fixed rear spoiler with a double-layer diffuser made of full carbon, and the rear surrounds are designed to be retracted on both sides, reducing the pressure in the wheel arches and greatly increasing the downforce on the rear axle of the vehicle.

From the data, the optimized aerodynamic design has increased the overall downforce of the new car by 35% and reduced the drag by 20%, which will bring better handling performance and top speed performance. It is worth mentioning that the new car has also been fitted with a new airflow deflector on the chassis to improve aerodynamic efficiency, which better improves the overall aerodynamic balance of the car.

The interior is equipped with a new full LCD instrument cluster, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with a driving mode switch and large gear shift paddles, and a multimedia touch screen with a vertical layout embedded in the center of the center console, which displays some vehicle status parameters and looks like an in-car OBD monitor.

In addition, the ignition start button inside the car still retains the classic red flap cover, which gives a sense of ritual to start the car. The electronic gearshift mechanism is also still in the paddle style, together with some metal paddle-type function control buttons on the whole center panel, making the new car's interior very sci-fi style.

It is worth mentioning that the interior of the new car uses a large area of Alcantara material as the panel and seat wraps, and the most extreme is that the new car doors will be made of all carbon fiber, and even eliminates the metal door handles inside the car and replaces them with a drawstring structure to further reduce weight in detail. In addition, the new car can be fitted with an interior anti-roll bar to enhance vehicle rigidity and safety.

In other details, the exhaust system has been optimized so that the V10 engine can make a more pleasant sound at higher revs, and the acoustic comfort of the cockpit has been improved so that the driver can also experience this passionate sound, better transmitting the pleasant sound of the V10 engine to the cabin.

The Huracán Tecnica relies on the "LDIV" dynamic driving assistance system to achieve better handling by integrating information from different positions of the vehicle, prioritizing the formation of virtual scenarios in the program, and "pre-feedback control" of the vehicle state. This system integrates information about different vehicle positions, prioritizes virtual scenarios in the program, and performs "pre-feedback control" of the vehicle state to achieve better driving dynamics. Because the Tecnica is rear-wheel drive, the model is also equipped with dynamic vectoring torque distribution with direct steering ratio control, which, together with the improved high-performance P-TCS traction control system, will provide better control of "STRADA", "SPORT " and "CORSA" driving modes with highly differentiated response feedback.

In terms of the braking system, the new car is equipped with a carbon ceramic braking system as standard, and the cooling ducts of the braking system have been optimized. In addition to the special cooling deflectors and caliper ducts for the front and rear braking systems, the new car also uses the airflow diverter on the chassis to channel more cold air into the brake discs, thus maximizing the cooling effect.

In addition, the damping in the new suspension system uses a "magneto-rheological suspension" medium, together with springs with a higher K-value, which further improves the stability of the double wishbone independent electric suspension and brings better track support and road comfort to the vehicle.

The new car will be powered by the same 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine as the STO version, with a compression ratio of 12.7:1, a maximum speed of 8,000 rpm, 640 hp, and 565 Nm of torque; the new car weighs only 1,369 kg (dry weight) and its weight-to-power ratio is 2.15 kg/hp.

The Huracán Tecnica accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds, from 0-200km/h in 9.1 seconds, and has a top speed of 325 km/h. The transmission will be matched with an optimized 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a rear-wheel drive system with torque vectoring.
