ELECTRIC VEHICLES

The biggest concerns of electric cars are the high price of vehicles and the majority of the cost of these vehicles is for their batteries. According to studies, electric vehicle production will be increased multiple times by 2025. The cost of batteries will fall up to sixty to sixty-five percent, which can be very reasonable, and the majority of car enthusiasts can afford electric vehicles very cheaply.

The safety of the lithium-ion battery is another concern for Indian car enthusiasts. One of the major negatives of electric vehicles in India is the shortage of charging stations. Shortage of charging stations will affect long-distance travel. So buying a car for twenty lakh rupees for use in town limits as a short distance is not worthy as compared with European standards in India.

By 2025, research says that the biggest manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, India Ltd, Hyundai, and Tata will launch a bundle of electric vehicles in cooperation with the Indian government. An increase in electric vehicle count will also help our country to be free from carbon emissions and carbon dioxide. It will help the majority of the country’s population to live in a greener and cleaner ecology. The business of electric cars will surely grow up in the future. The need for electric vehicles has increased due to environmental pollution and the surging price of fuel. It will do the same in the future. If proper infrastructure is provided and it becomes affordable and has access to every consumer group, the electric vehicle market might become one of the biggest industries in the country.

LIMITATION OF FAST CHARGES FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES IN INDIA

Individuals in India have certain limitations for setting up fast charges in their garages. Hence, infrastructure will be a key to the future development of the electric vehicle market in India.

FUTURE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES IN INDIA.As a developing economy, fifty percent of the country’s population is in the middle-class category. Therefore, a country like India cannot afford the high cost of fuels like diesel and petrol which will increase the demand for electric vehicles several times by 2025.

LOW MILEAGE ELECTRIC VEHICLES

One of the major disadvantages of electric vehicles is low mileage. Electric vehicles have only a less mileage range than petrol and diesel vehicles. Most of the electric cars in the market have only a range of 250 to 350 Km per charger. Some of the high-priced electric cars have beyond that but to an extent of 400 Km per charge. When compared with petrol/diesel cars, will get an average of 500 Km on a full tank. Some of the newly released models have a much higher mileage range. This will be a basic negative if the customer has to take frequent long trips. Hence the availability of charging stations will be an issue for customers who opt for road trips.
