Acura officially launched the RDX 3.0L Elite Edition model at the Hong Kong and Macau Auto Show in Shenzhen. Previously, the Acura RDX only had a 3.5L luxury version, and the main purpose of this 3.0L elite version is to reduce the sales threshold while increasing the selectivity of consumers.

The exterior design of the Acura RDX 3.0L Elite Edition is no different from that of the 3.5L Luxury Edition. Compared with its big brother MDX, it is more in line with the aesthetic needs of young luxury car consumers and more stylish and dynamic. The front of the car uses Acura's signature shield-shaped chrome grille, while the angular headlights reveal a sense of sharpness, and the entire front retains strong family features.

The body lines are a little more rounded and delicate than the MDX, and do not look rough, compared with the open front looks much more restrained; the design of the rear looks quite simple but does not lack fashion, with richly layered rear lines to create a full tail profile, the overall shape, and Acura MDX is a little similar. As for the body size, its length, width, and height are 4675*1870*1680 mm, with a wheelbase of 2685 mm.

The design of the interior is also familiar, even in the interior configuration is the same as the 3.5L luxury version. For example, the configuration of multimedia system, GPS Chinese navigation system, Bluetooth phone, DVD video playback, AV composite video interface, AUX/USB interface, and other features seen in the 3.5L luxury version can be found in it; and in terms of active and passive safety features, it is the same as the 3.5L luxury version, 6 airbags, body stability control, traction control, keyless It is equipped with 6 airbags, stability control, traction control, keyless entry/start system, etc.

Compared with the previously listed 3.5L luxury version, the main difference between them is the engine and four-wheel drive system. 3.0L elite version is relatively less E-DPS real-time intelligent four-wheel drive system, while the engine changes to a 3.0L V6 naturally aspirated engine. From the current situation, in addition to the hybrid model Acura ILX, it will use the smallest displacement engine Acura models. From the book parameters, this 3.0L V6 naturally aspirated engine belongs to the top level, with its maximum power of 201 kW (277 hp)/6200 rpm, and a maximum torque of 298 N-m/5500 rpm. maximum power is only 10 hp less than the 3.5L V6 naturally aspirated engine, while the maximum torque is relatively lower by 42N-m.

As for the transmission system, it uses a 6-speed manual transmission, which is the same as the 3.5L luxury version. With the reduction of engine displacement, the Acura RDX, which enters domestic sales as an imported car, will relatively reduce a lot of taxes and fees, which is not a good thing for manufacturers or consumers.

The situation of "fire and ice", in addition to the large differences in car habits and purchasing preferences of consumers in the two countries, the reasonableness of product pricing, the influence of the brand, the richness of the product, the perfection of the service network and so on are also the main factors. In the face of this situation, the Acura brand needs to put in more effort. In my opinion, in addition to the above-mentioned problems, manufacturers may wish to consider the introduction of small displacement products, after all, small displacement cars are still the largest consumer demand.
