7 ways to tell if your cars fuel injectors are clogged
Cars fuel injectors are clogged

It would not be wrong if we call the fuel as the life of the car. Because if there would be no fuel, then the engine would not run and the car would not work. The fuel is the most essential input at the vehicles. The fuel is the source of power to the whole car, the fuel consists of chemical energy which is converted to mechanical and then electrical energy. So, to make the engine get fuel supply, there are many components. They ensure that the fuel is in correct pressure and have no clogs in its system, also they make the fuel to mix properly with the air. The fuel injector is one of such components. The malfunction of the fuel injector can surely make some problems. So here you will know about the clogged fuel injectors symptoms.
The fuel injectors functions
The fuel injectors are the part of the fuel system that make the injection of the fuel into the combustion chamber at a correct rate. Most of the components of the fuel system are electrically controlled. The fuel pump which provides the pressure to the fuel to flow to the combustion chamber from the fuel tank is electrically controlled. The fuel pressure sensor is also an electrical device & the fuel injectors are also electrical devices. After the flow of fuel through the channels and the low pressure a high-pressure fuel pump, it reaches the injectors which are present one at each cylinder.
So, each cylinder’s feeds fuel to each cylinder, the fuel injectors consist of the valves which open and close to adjust the flow of the fuel. These valves are controlled by the engine control unit or ECU. The valves operate how the ECU instructs them. Then there are nozzles at the injectors though which the fuel comes out of the injectors and goes into the combustion chamber while the cylinder valves are opened. The fuel is sprayed by the nozzle with pressure so that it would form tini droplets and can easily get mixed with the air in the chamber. If the fuel is properly mixed to air, then only the combustion chamber can have a perfect combustion process and the power generated would be more with less wastage of fuel.
What causes the fuel injectors to get clogged?
The fuel injectors would malfunction if it gets some electrical problem or it is clogged with dirt. Its nozzles are generally tini openings where the dirt or debris can easily enter and block the opening, leading to clogs. The fuel would not be sprayed properly and can lead to the fuel leakage.
Common signs of clogged fuel injectors
The clogged fuel injector is a serious issue, so you have to identify the issue whenever it happens and trouble shoot it or fix it. For that you have to know about the top signs of the clogged fuel injector in cars.
Engine jerking and vibrating
If the fuel injector is clogged and the fuel would not flow into the combustion chamber in proper amount, then the cylinders would misfire and lead to a very low power. So, to have to better performance the engine would jerk and shake.
Rough idling
If there would be clogged fuel injector then there would low power output with low RPM, so the car would shake while idling.
Low fuel economy
If there is very less fuel in the engine due to clogged injector, then the engine would make the consumption of the fuel more, leading to low fuel economy.
Fuel leakage
You would find the leaked fuel under the car. Due to the clogged injector, the fuel would unable to go to the combustion chamber, hence it may get leaked.
Gasoline odor
If there is gasoline odor from the engine, then know that there is an internal fuel leakage. The clogged fuel injector can be the cause.
Unable to start
If the injectors are clogged, then there would not be more supply of fuel into the combustion chamber and without fuel, there would be no start.
Conclusion
Lack of fuel due to clogged injector cannot make your car run. So have it cleaned or replaced so that you have a good performance in your car.
