If you are looking for a mature relationship, there are more singles in the online dating pool than ever. If you are hoping to connect with an older individual, signing up to this website would provide access to a vibrant social hub, where you can interact with people who are on the same wavelength. So whether you met in a social setting, or as is increasingly the case, via a mature dating site, you may well have developed tastes for offbeat locations. When you and your mature partner are considering a foreign trip, the world is your oyster! Exotic islands rather than package holidays. You might also be considering cruises rather than all-inclusive hotels above a nightclub! How about a Caribbean adventure? Azure seas. Golden sands. Calypso music. Cocktails... Here are five ideal Caribbean locations for romantic getaways.

Samaná Peninsula, Dominican Republic

This outcrop of land juts into the Caribbean, with the tranquil Samaná Bay to the south. The sleepy town of Samaná is worth dropping by, its population an ethnic melting pot testament to the influence of indigenous peoples, freed slaves, and successive waves of European settlers. After spending time savoring the varied eateries and souvenir outlets, you must book a cruise into the expansive bay. These sparkling waters are home to a rich variety of wildlife, including humpback whales – if you drop by between December and March, their mating season, there are thousands of these majestic creatures.

Negril, Jamaica

After touching down at Sir Donald Sangster Airport, hire a car and drive for just over an hour across the scenic coastland. Here you’ll discover Negril, famous for the golden sands of Seven Mile Beach. This is the perfect location for watersports, whether you like to kayak, snorkel, scuba dive, or simply splash around in the shallows. There are gorgeous boutique hotels above limestone cliffs, and live entertainment is always part of the calendar. But the most notable aspect of the beach is the fact it faces due west. Watching the sun sinking into the horizon while sipping cocktails is truly magical.

St Kitts and Nevis

Part of the UK Commonwealth, St Kitts and Nevis were amongst the first of the Caribbean islands to be visited by Europeans. A mere 29 kilometers in length, these two islands typify a tropical paradise, and while they may not be as well known as neighboring Puerto Rico, they are worth a visit. There’s a well-preserved fort, Brimstone Hill Fortress, a delightful UNESCO-protected site, nestling below volcanic peaks. Hiking to the summit of any of these three mountains will work up a sweat, but the reward is a breathtaking view of the lapping waves.

Aruba

Lying 29 kilometers off the coast of Venezuela, Aruba forms part of the so-called ABC islands, along with Bonaire and Curaçao. This beautiful island is part of the Netherlands, and this geographical zone is sometimes referred to as the Dutch Caribbean. Where you and your cougar are concerned, this paradise offers a variety of activities. There’s the Arikok National Park to explore, renowned for its curious lava formations and quartz deposits. There are also unique animals and plants, including flocks of flamingoes. After all that sightseeing, you can book a table for two and enjoy Jamaican jerk ribs and coconut shrimp.

Barbados

What better suggestion than the world’s newest nation? On 30 November 2021, this 34-kilometer long island and former British colony finally declared itself a Republic, with its own head of state rather than Queen Elizabeth. The food is mouth-watering, and a reflection of the various ethnic groups who have made Barbados their home (or been forced to): Spanish, West Indian, and African. There are spas to indulge in, and what must surely rank amongst the world’s most scenic golf courses. The beaches are uniformly stunning, and you can dance the night away in clubs playing hits by one of the most famous Barbadians, Rihanna.
